This is the second Sony Walkman needing help today/this morning. I personally think that they must be pieces of crud. Any ways, maybe you just have a certain amount of voice recordings that you can do. Play around on it. Keep searching on the internet.

Get an Earphone or Headset which has a Volume Control On it! Control the Volume from there, Because we cannot Fix it!!!Good Luck!!!!

there are no serviceable parts in this device. unless you have somehow damaged the usb plug or headphone jack. also did some checking and sony has discontinued this model there no support from the sony web site.
however, i did find the device on amazon.com. so you want just buy a new/used device. sorry for the bad news. good luck!

Go to esupport.sony.com there you can find service for your mp3. You can also get a wall charger. Hope this helps.

This issue may occur if the license for the track you are trying to play has expired on the device. If you currently subscribe to a music subscription service, connect the device and sign into the account to refresh your license to allow for playback. You may need to do this once during each billing period to listen to the subscription music you have transferred. If you are no longer a subscriber to the service where you downloaded the file from, you can delete the song from your portable player to prevent this error from occurring each time you try to play the song back.
If the issue happens with all the songs in the Player, format the Player and transfer the songs again using the Software or by dragging using the Windows Explorer.

1. Make sure the HOLD switch is in the position opposite to the arrow.
2. Reset the player. See image below.

3. Turn off the player after reset.
4. Fully charge it before adding music.

If the portable player is still not responding, reset it by pressing the RESET button with a small pin or similar object

Do you mean play songs through your car player, because Car stereos do not have storage devices. They usually have a CD player and radio.
If you Car Stereo has a Aux in port in the front or back you can connect the Sony Media player by buying a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack cable as shown below.

The built-in battery can be changed by consulting the place of purchase or by an authorized service center. The Sony® eService Web site at http://eservice.sony.com/ can assist you in obtaining service from a Sony Service Center or locating a Sony Authorized Servicer.
The built-in battery of the portable player should be replaced when the battery life is less than half, even when it has been fully charged.
