Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. Take the batteries out of the remote. If the problem stops, the remote maybe needs cleaning. I don't think it's a Quark in the programming. If you're handy with a soldering iron, look for cold solder points on chips. And any other component.

1. is the tv connected to pvr ordvd or is it directly connected to wall cable.?2. is power cord properly inserted at both ends?3. try direct cable connection to wall to check if ok. Then reconnect to other devices.

I would try Ebay or try google to see if you can track down a panel. The panel you need is a M260TWR1 R1. The problem you may find is that it will cost more to replace the screen that what the set is worth.

Sounds like you have a backlight fault. To verify this, turn on the TV, dim the lights in the room. Take a bright flashlight and shine it on the screen. If you see a faint picture you have a backlight problem. Do you feel comfortable opening up your set?

Select menu in remote control, select format, change ratio size to fit your screen. If you do not know the correct format, you may have to try all the options.

Nowhere. If the lcd panel is busted it's cheaper to buy a new tv than fix to one you have.

This is a fault solution which can be checked and corrected by you assuming that there is no component failure. There is a high possibility that the components over a period of heating and cooling, tend to bring on a problem of dry soldering. So my advice is to check the set for some loose joints that have played on to give you these erratic shut downs or poor performance. The best way to check for loose connections is to tap lightly when the set is powered on, if there is change while tapping then it seems that there are DRY solder joints. Remove main plug, the covers - with caution of high voltage, check for dry joints, and use a good soldering iron to solder all suspected points. Sometimes the fault occurs when the set warms up; if so you can simulate the heat using a hair dryer on the suspected areas, try with the power supply, distribution, Processor controller, driver controllers on the A/V related sections. Also the use a FREEZE-IT spray can simulate the components to cool and show up the fault. It can also be related to WEAK ELECTROLYTIC capacitors as the value can reduce in time

Is this a CRT type. Please mention where the white line is and if this is the retrace line all across the screen horizontally then it is failure of the grid filter which is a high voltage capacitor in the section of the line output normally about 10-25 MFD/250V. Also the failure of the diode or the fusible resistor opening out will result with the same symptom.

Grayish/white glow only, sound is OK. If it is, the T-CON board may be bad or it is not getting the 5vdc/12vdc for the T-CON board to work, it will require in-depth troubleshooting.
