Hi i cant connect using wireless on my lenovo.

Welcome to fix ya

If you are having problems connecting wirelessly using your lenovo G550 here are steps that you could try

1. Press FN+F5 ( this turns the wireless adapter on/off)

2. Make sure that the wireless switch is toggled on. The wireless switch is located on the front of the laptop.

3. Make sure that the drivers for your wireless adapter is properly installed. To do this click on start then type device manager. click on device manager. click on the arrow next to network adapters. Make sure that the wireless adapter does not have a yellow exclamation point next to it. Also if you dont see your wireless adapter here check for a yellow question marrk in other device. If you dont have the driver you can download it here. www.consumersupport.lenovo.com

Hi Mister_x158,

Yes, you do need to reinstall your audio driver and here's how to get the driver and install it:

1. Go to www.consumersupport.lenovo.com
Note: If it's your first time, it will ask for your country or region. Please select the country/region where you are located.

2. You can either do Option 1: Enter a serial number. You can find your serial number at the bottom on a Lenovo sticker and it will say S/N which usually starts with EB followed by 8 digit number

3. Or Option 2: Select a product. For Brand, select Notebooks. For Family, select Ideapad S12. For Type, just select All types.

4. Click Search and you will have the list of drivers for your system. Scroll it down to Audio and select the proper one.

I installed the bios update

Hi,

Welcome to FixYa! This may cause by an electrical charge in the motherboard itself,Im not really sure how it affects the display of the computer. There's also a possibility that the problem is with the LCD cable or the LCD itself. Please follow this method since it usually fix such problem like that,

1.Removed the battery then unplugged the AC adapter

2.Press and hold the power button or the ON/OFF button for at least 30 seconds

3.Connect the power supply back to your computer then turn it back on.

4. Check if you will see any difference.

5. If nothing happens, try to press and hold Fn and F2 on the keyboard.

If nothing happens, there is a possibility that the problem is with the LCD or monitor itself, maybe it will need a replacement...

I hope this information will be helpful. Thank you for using FixYa...

There do exist turntables with a USB port.

Or, if your turntable just has the "post-and-ring" RED and WHITE stereo audio RCA-jacks, then you need an adapter to merge the two audio channels, and to connect to the "microphone-input" socket on your computer.

Then, tell Audacity to listen to that "microphone-input", and record from that source.

Hi sheiladew,

Welcome to Fixya!

The speakers of your G550 are located on the front edge of the palmrest and sound more than adequate for playing music or watching streaming video. We have to note the system's versatility in terms of usage, but it's a downside that it does not have a microphone.

I have included a link that can tell you more information about this product, as well as it's components:

WHEN I TRY TO START THE LAPTOP IT GOES INTO A LOOP

Welcome to FixYa!

This is the usual error message when the system failed to connect to your hard drive after POST (Power On Self Test). You can try to load the BIOS and try to auto detect the hard drive from there, if it fails, then I would highly recommend for you to send this laptop to an authorized service provider.

Alternatively, you can visit Lenovo's support site for more information about this problem, and some guides on how to properly remove components :
