Copmuter running slow
Most of the time, PC starts running slow by lots of reasons. Corrupt registry, unnecessary applications, as well as too many start-up items would be the major reasons contributing to this problem. Many PC users simply utilize PC yet never consider how to maintain and optimize PC performance. I would suggest you to download any reliable program to fix registry, to manage unnecessary applications & start-up items like am using Reginout since 2010.

What is the question? Can you bypass the password? Normally No. You must take the laptop to a Toshiba Service Center to have the password removed or overridden. You may have to pay for the service if the laptop is out of warranty.

My daughters Toshiba satellite l505d will not boot
Try the following.
1. Remove battery and plug in the AC Adapter and
check if it works
If yes - Battery is defective
If no - Motherboard Problem/AC adapter
2. Check the AC adapter LED indicator if its
lighted or not(double check by a multitester)
If lighted - it works
properly
if not - replace
3. Try to reinstall WINDOWS operating
system by the use of the installer CD
4. Reformat your computer and install necessary drivers and applications
Thanks. Cheers!

Overheated and won't restart. Any ideas?
Check to see if your laptop has an option for fan speed control, if it does, increase the rpm's.Id doesn't be careful, you may have a bad collong fan, if that's the situation STOP using the laptop until you replace the cooling fan.

Hi semiro20,
If you have downloaded the drivers via http://support.toshiba.com and already did full system recovery but still having issues, you are right, this is a hardware problem and you need to have the computer serviced. If you purchased your Toshiba unit in the US, call 1-800-457-7777. If you purchased it in Canada, you need to call 1-800-663-0378.
Cheers.
