I would run a good virus or malware program, there are some very good and free ones available. Try Malwarebytes, AVG and Spybot S&D, all available free and all very good. Hope this helps.

Sleep and hibernate options are part of Bios. what i mean by that is if these is an issue with Bios these features wont work. Sometimes there has been known issues with cordless mice and other devices plugged in via usb port. Also outdated video and other drivers will do same. i would recommend first of all going to manufacturers site and downloading latest Bios update for your system, once this is done run windows update and make sure pc is restarted once done. After all this go back to your manufacturers site and download all of the driver updates that are available. Hope this helps.

Seems like a common issue with A505's. After a fruitless google search I basically went to speaker balance (which I had to google how to for win7!) and increased level to max for both left and rights and so far so good. Hope that helps.

This seems to be a common problem with laptops over a couple of years old. Dust gets trapped in the copper fins and the fan of the CPU heatsink and reduces the efficiency of the cooling, which results in regular power off's by the laptop as it gets over it's upper temperature setting. The fix is relatively easy, just remove the heatsink unit, blow it clean with compressed air, clean the old CPU heatsink paste off with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and spray a thin film of heatsink paste on the CPU.

If this does not fix it, you need to replace the fan.

if you have windows-7 which run on your laptop you can install it, I think you no need to drivers to install your win-7 automatic install the drivers when you connect your laptop to internet. remember desktop version and laptop version win7 is different.

Take the battery off the laptop, & using a dry tooth brush, scrub in between the fins of the battery connector on the motherboard & on the battery it self, then put the battery back into the laptop & try again.
If this still did not resolve the problem, then the battery itself could be bad. Try it on another laptop, or try a good or new battery in your laptop.
If this did not work, there might be a possibility that the charging circuitry on the laptop's motherboard is defective & needs servicing. In order to do this, the laptop needs to be disassembled & the motherboard checked for defective/burned out components in the area near the DC jack. Any defective/burned out components found should be replaced, or you might need to replace the laptop's motherboard altogether.

Without any more information, the issue could be with driver for the web camera or the bundled software for starts web camera.

Make sure you do not have another program trying to access the web camera at the same time - such as MS or Yahoo Messenger.

If this fails, go to Computer Management (Start then search for Computer Management) - go to the Device Manager and make sure you can see the web camera on the right side of the window. If you cannot find the web camera, look for a yellow ? and update the driver using the above link.

you have to try needle nose plyers it sounds like card was inserted wrong once out restart pc and then it should find it, that is as long as connectors werent ruined

Uusally, now a days you do not get a disk with a new computer. Instead, if you go into the toshiba folder under programs on the start menu they will have a utility to make recovery disks. These disks can then be used to completely redo your computer should you need to.

It Sounds like a Hardware Fault. I would really advise you to Return / Replace / Repair the notebook as even if you try and check the connections would Void the Notebook warranty.

But, i could at least tell you, it could be as small as wiring to as big as Speaker malfunction. However, it is not a software problem.

Note - I am Assuming that you have checked the Basic Settings.
