Hello, bad image intensifier tube and possible ccfl with it coil. Major repair on MK238 scope. I think they make a generation 2 tube for this scope like 350,360,390, and 410. Call AT ATN. stewbison

Jeepers! I have work on these ATN MK238 before. All internal electronic are made in Russia. There are two major problem with them. Image intensifier tube goes lights out, the ccfl inver, coil and voltage multiplier are seal in dielectric jell and epoxy. can't work of them. I can work on them, but I am not. Who ever work on it will need to install a new image tube, manufacture ccfl inverter, fine a coil and manufacture voltage multiplie and get the correct cathode ingnitor voltage, hard.

Hi, the objective lens on this ATN MK238. Now these lenses are Russian Optics and they manufacture very good to excellent optics. Take the lens to a camera shop, if they can fix it, then they will know who will. If you send it to ATN they just throw away your lens and replace it with a new lens. If you are going to replace the lens then up grade to 90mm to 100mm lens, OK. stewbsion

I have a Amt aries 208 I have changed the battery but i cant get to do any thing . and i have lost all of the manuals can you help.Ed.

Have the capacitor check in the circuit. They do hald a charge to turn the sytem on. If the capacitor has cracked it will not operate for you. They do crack from the build up of heat generated by the voltage running through it. Once cracked they will not hold there charge to turn on

if the eye tube is not lighting up its likley to be the censor burnd out or the tube is broken,,, dont use it in full day light,,

You may have a unit that does not have a serial number if nothing is embossed on the unit, their website indicates not all are going to have a serial number.http://www.atncorp.com/

It will be embossed on a flat surface if your device has one. Some do not.

Hello, AMT is no longer here. ATN Inc owns it stuff now. It is the image intensifier tube that has gone bad, and these thing are manufactured in Russia. Auction it on eBay. Sorry, GB..stewbison

Yes, probably with a new image intensifier tube, or it could possibly be weak ccfl inverter with it coil. Contact the manufacture and they will give you ruff estimate on the cost for repairs. stewbison
