if the noise is a grinding kinda clunking noise thed there is some hard food down in the sump/motor assm.you would need to take it apart and clean it out.

Generally, the filters are removable.  You'll need your manual.  Nothing can get into the motor...but they can get into the pump.  Remove all the racks, get in there and find the item...likely a small bone or toothpick or that plastic bread closer.

Sounds like the timer needs to be changed out.  The motor is defective or the unit is jammed.

The problem is likely the solenoid that diverts the water from the washer arms to the drain.  It is located in the motor areal of the unit and is connected to the waste line.  It is either defective or clogged.  Many of these units can be disassembled and cleaned.  Try that first.  If not, replacement is not difficult.

first make sure the water is turned on to the unit(i know but i gotta check)if you'r sure you have water pressure to it.the float may have gotten stuck in the full position.this is located in the tub under a cover,that kinda looks like a small silo.remove the cover & make sure it is at the lower end of its movement.if this does'nt fix the problem i'll need a little more imfo.thanx for using fix-ya.please rate all replys

Are you using rinse aid?
that may help with the film.you may also have stuff down in the trap causing the water to drain slow.

does it always say 72? will it start? you could have a stuck key on the consol.

any lights on?

try to just push the cancil button 2 times that should cancil anything he did if this does not work then you have a problem with the dishwasher
