Change the power supply board. Do a google, ebay or shopjimmy.com search with your model number for price and availibility. Be sure to match the numbers from your board to theirs. Take the back off the set and trace the power supply via the AC plug up wires.

Plasma screens don't have a focus as such so I suspect a problem with the upscaling of your pictures.
Try a different resolution value or screen aspect size.

Does not power up or
Take the back off and check for a couple of bulged caps that might need to be replace in the power supply. You can and also check and see if the VA and Vs voltages are correct coming out of the power supply. There will be a label on the inside panel telling you what the VS and VA voltages should read. repair, or replace power supply.
I have a symbol appeared top left on my LG plasma
Do you have sound ok? As this symbol indicates the audio is muted. If pressing the mute button on the remote control should get rid of it. If not then call your LG dealer to have an engineer call out to perform a total factory re-set & update the software if needed.
I have a LG dvd
player 5083 inserted the disc the correct way into the draw but the machine does not play the disc a very slight humming noise is heard then it spits the drawer back out
