Google LG parts and you will come up with a dealer who lists all the boards by model number or you can go to LG.

It is a short circuit caused by some components and/or power capacitors. This may need assessment by a qualified service technician.

Change the power supply board. Do a google, ebay or shopjimmy.com search with your model number for price and availibility. Be sure to match the numbers from your board to theirs. Take the back off the set and trace the power supply via the AC plug up wires.

Did you try the buttons on the tv? See if it works and let me know. I am starting to think it needs a firmware update though

If that still isnt the case then it could be the power supply went on it..

Plasma screens don't have a focus as such so I suspect a problem with the upscaling of your pictures.
Try a different resolution value or screen aspect size.

Take the back off and check for a couple of bulged caps that might need to be replace in the power supply. You can and also check and see if the VA and Vs voltages are correct coming out of the power supply. There will be a label on the inside panel telling you what the VS and VA voltages should read. repair, or replace power supply.

Whats happening hear is that the power supply has a fault or is detecting a fault from another board and shutting its self down. There's an over-voltage problem somewhere on the circuit boards, its an LG tv so its easy to service and shouldn't cost much because its plasma.....

Do you have sound ok? As this symbol indicates the audio is muted. If pressing the mute button on the remote control should get rid of it. If not then call your LG dealer to have an engineer call out to perform a total factory re-set & update the software if needed.

This is the Power Board for it. check those 6 electrolytic Capacitors on the right for bulging or splitting. Don't buy it blindly, it's a guess. It can't be done. The DVD remote will be single frequency for that device only and the LG remote for that LG Blu Ray (or series) only. Companies don't make cross-control between makers easy. The only exception is cable and satellite boxes to allow their remote to also control the television.
