Where is the unit located when you loose the signal?

Hello Have you done a reset to this device. I think that you may have already done it. If not, reset the device. There is a reset button at the back of this device. Press it to reset the system. If this reset function does not hep you at all, surely the main board of the unit is faulty. Especially to the video processing section of that board will have the fault. Very sad to say that, no other information about GPS devices, such as its schematic diagrams, service manuals, alaingment proceedings etc:- will no be published due to security reasons and by low. If the reset function does not help you to rectify the problem, you have to contact the authorised service center for Nexstar. Nothing can be done by any service technicians to these GPS devices. OK.

HelloThere is some software bug with your Nexstar. A bios bug problem is there. That is why, the computer does not recogonize your GPS. There is no software update for Bios. It can only be done by the authorised service center for Nextar at your town. Just contact them. On rare occations, Bios IC may need replacement. We can't get this component from open electronic spare part market. No components of any GPS, except its battery will be available at open market due to security reasons. No schematics or service manulas too. Just contact the authorised service center. Do not make any more experiments with this device please. OKgopakumarg43 Fixya.

Have you done a software update yet?

In nextar gps units.The maps and updates are loaded in sd card.And this sd -card is pre installed in the unit by the nextar service center.so it will obviously show this message on the screen if the sd card is not loaded in the unit.But now to get this updates you will require a SD-card in which all this updates arre pre loaded.But you cannot get this SD-card with pre installed maps and updates at any on line sites.You can get the nextar gps unit but you cannot get the per-loaded sd card.Many users face this but the only option is to contact nextar service center .They will ask you the serial number of the unit and provide you the per-loaded sd-card as per your serial number.So your SD-card will only work for your nextar unit and not other nextar unit.

yes, you can download info into another SD Card. There are some computers that has space for SD card and there is also what is called card reader. You can fix your SD card into the card reader and your computer will recognize the SD card like a flash driver, then copy the info into the SD card.

You will have to check at the factory website for updates, if any are available they will be there.

Go to the Nextar website and it will tell there

can you restart it ? if yes, do so and try again. Usually, it helps. If not, soft needs update.
