Just got a singer futura seqa 6000 I need to know if I can connect it to a chromebook

Do you mean a Singer Futura Quartet SEQS-6000? If so, the sewing machine can't communicate with the Chrome OS. The drivers and software on the CD are only compatible with Windows. The initial software package was compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8. See the specifications section at https://www.singer.com/Futura-SEQS-6000-Embroidery-Machine and https://www.futura-support.com/products/seqs-6000 . There is a software update available for Windows 10. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

I have a singer heavy duty 4423 I am sewing a curtain out of a sheet every time I try to reverse sew my machine jams up but straight sewing seems to be ok

If your Singer Heavy Duty 4423 is jamming when you try to sew in reverse, it may be due to a few issues:
  1. Thread tension: Make sure your thread tension is not too tight, which can cause the thread to bunch up and jam the machine. Try loosening the tension slightly.
  2. Needle: Make sure you are using the correct needle for the fabric you are sewing. A dull or damaged needle can cause the machine to jam.
  3. Bobbin: Check your bobbin to make sure it is threaded correctly and is not damaged.
  4. Machine maintenance: It's important to keep your machine clean and well-oiled. A buildup of lint or dirt can cause the machine to jam.
  5. Sewing speed: Slow down when sewing in reverse. Sometimes going too fast in reverse can cause the machine to jam.
If none of these solutions work, it may be a mechanical issue with the machine and it's best to take it to a professional for repair

My Singer QuikFix stopped stitching.

If the pink part that catches the needle's thread (the shuttle hook) has stopped turning, it may be due to several reasons. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Check the bobbin case: Make sure that the bobbin case is correctly installed in the shuttle race and that it is not damaged or dirty. If the bobbin case is not correctly installed, it can prevent the shuttle hook from turning.
  2. Check the needle: Ensure that the needle is properly installed and not damaged or bent. If the needle is damaged or bent, it may not be picking up the thread properly.
  3. Clean the machine: If the machine is dirty or has lint buildup, it can affect the movement of the shuttle hook. Clean the machine and oil it according to the instructions in the manual.
  4. Check the shuttle hook: If the shuttle hook is damaged, it may need to be replaced. Check for any signs of damage, such as chips or cracks.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to take the machine to a professional for repair.

I can't move the stitch width wheel on my Singer 534. Any ideas or does it need service

If you can't move the stitch width wheel on your Singer 534, there are a few things you can check:
  1. Make sure the machine is threaded correctly: Sometimes, if the machine is not threaded correctly, the wheel can become jammed. Double-check that the machine is threaded correctly and that the thread is not caught on anything.
  2. Check for thread or debris around the wheel: Sometimes, thread or other debris can get caught around the stitch width wheel, preventing it from turning. Check the area around the wheel and remove any obstructions.
  3. Apply some lubricant: If the wheel is still difficult to turn, try applying some sewing machine oil or lubricant to the area around the wheel. This can help loosen up any stuck parts.
If none of these solutions work, it may be time to take your machine in for service. A professional technician can diagnose and repair any issues with the machine.

Singer 603E Sewing Machine. Why is it making a rat's nest when I try to sew.

Your sewing machine tension is incorrect. Tension is a delicate tug of war between the upper thread and the bobbin tension to place the knot loop in the centre of the two pieces of cloth. Sewing machine tension is how tight the threads are pulled as you sew. The tighter your thread (or the higher your tension), the tighter your stitches. With proper tension, your sewing machine needle moves up and down, the bobbin thread is pulled up, and you get nice, neat, even stitches.

I have a Singer Stylist 513 & I cannot get the feed dogs raised.

The model 513 Singer has two gears which operate the feeding mechanism. If one of these gears is broken, the machine will run except the feed dogs will not move. This is a very common problem with this model.

I have a Singer Talent 3321 and i am having a difficult time finding the correct pressure foot for quilting on this machine.

Are you doing free-motion quilting or piecing? The Talent 3321 uses the Singer Low-shank presser feet. If you are doing free-motion quilting, use the darning/embroidery foot. For piecing, use the 1/4" foot. See https://www.singeronline.com/3321talent.html . If you are quilting in straight lines, you might consider the walking foot. The original part numbers are shown in the manual under the Optional accessories on page 9 (page 16 of the PDF). The manual is available on the product page: https://www.singer.com/Talent-3321-Sewing-Machine . The direct link to the manual is currently https://manuals.singer.com/Manuals/RetrievePDF/971 . Other sources with the presser feet in stock are https://www.sewingparts.co.uk/machines/clip-on2/singer-3321.html and https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/singer-3321-sewing-machine-parts.aspx?index=39 . I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Singer Quilter Confidence - needle moves when winding bobbin

If the needle on your Singer Quilter Confidence machine moves when you're winding the bobbin, it's likely due to a few possible reasons. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:
  1. Check the threading: Make sure the thread is properly threaded through the machine, as an incorrect threading can cause the needle to move during bobbin winding.
  2. Tighten the needle clamp screw: If the needle clamp screw is loose, it can cause the needle to vibrate during bobbin winding. To tighten the screw, use a screwdriver to turn the screw clockwise.
  3. Check the bobbin winder tension: If the bobbin winder tension is too loose, it can cause the needle to move. To adjust the tension, refer to the manual for your Singer Quilter Confidence machine.
  4. Check for any obstructions: Make sure there are no obstructions near the needle, such as thread tails, fabric, or lint, as these can cause the needle to move during bobbin winding.
If you've tried all of these steps and the needle continues to move during bobbin winding, it may be a mechanical issue that requires a professional to fix. I would recommend contacting Singer for further assistance.

My singer soulmate 5500 keeps coming on E6 and I have a threaded correctly and the Bobben is OK so I don't know what the problem is can you help me

he error E6 on a Singer Soulmate 5500 sewing machine is typically associated with a threading error. If you have confirmed that the thread is correctly threaded and the bobbin is in good condition, here are a few other things you can try:
  1. Check the needle: Make sure the needle is the correct size and type for the fabric you are sewing, and that it is securely inserted into the machine.
  2. Check the tension: The tension of the thread may be incorrect. Adjust the tension dial until the thread is feeding through smoothly.
  3. Clean the machine: Dirt and debris can build up in the machine over time, causing issues with the threading and operation. Clean the machine thoroughly and make sure the threading path is clear.
  4. Check for thread jams: Remove any thread that may be jammed in the machine and clear the path for the thread.

Have an issue with the pressure bar on my singer curvy. the bar itself is loose and is turning the foot left to right. The pressure lever works fine and the bar doesn't grab when lifted ?

If the pressure bar on your Singer Curvy sewing machine is loose and turning from left to right, it could indicate a problem with the pressure bar mechanism. If the pressure lever is working fine, but the bar is not grabbing when lifted, it could be due to a problem with the tension on the bar or with the mechanism that holds the bar in place. In this situation, it is recommended to take your sewing machine to a certified Singer repair technician

My 8500Q Singer sewing machine - the thread is bunching up and getting tangled in the feed dogs from the bobbin I believe. I cleaned out all of the lint, replaced needle, and checked upper thread

  1. Check the threading: Ensure that the upper thread is threaded correctly through the tension and take-up lever, and that the bobbin is inserted correctly in the bobbin case.
  2. Adjust the tension: Check the tension on the upper and lower threads. If the tension is too loose or too tight, adjust it according to the instructions in your sewing machine manual.
  3. Clean the feed dogs: Make sure that the feed dogs are clean and free of debris. If they are dirty, clean them with a soft brush.
  4. Check the needle: Ensure that the needle is inserted correctly and is the correct size and type for the thread and fabric you're using.
  5. Inspect the bobbin case: Make sure that the bobbin case is clean and free of debris. If it's dirty, clean it with a soft brush.
