Disc cracked need to upload to get photo's on to

Do you really want the Vivitar software? The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

How to add a sountrack using video editing?

You can use ArcSoft ShowBiz which I have tried recently. Their new version ShowBiz 5 is great to add and edit multiple tracks including audio and video ones. You simply drag a music file to the interface and it is added to sound track auto, you drag the edges and the track is cut or spreaded. It's really cool.

My vivitar vivicam X327 only takes black pictures.

If you transfer the pics at pc, is the same condition? Black pics in pc? If yes, then isnt the LCD viewer, sound like a malfunctioning CCD-image sensor. Rare, but possible problem with your LCD screenviewer... in both cases (LCD or CCD) this isn't a job that you could solve yourself; this wrong include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines, blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being recorded on the camera's flash card.

I suggest check THIS LINK for additional details in this previous solutions for an Defective CCD (Charge Coupled Device) and next contact your technical service.
I strongly suggest (taking into consideration the age of your camera) to evaluate the cost of repair versus the cost of a new camera with similar features, before making a final desicion.

Hope this helps

It should be said again, people should more often backup their valuable data.

If the pictures were on the camera's memory card and if they were automagically
deleted after an amount of 300 pictures, the memory card or the camera is faulty.
Place a new memorycard into the camera and format it, than test of it will then
work correctly. If not, the camera is probably faulty.

When overwriting the memorycard with other pictures, the older deleted ones are
gone forever and cannot being recovered.

There is a handy testprogram to check memory cards and usb-sticks in a PC:

It's 55 pages so I don't know if that qualifies as "mini" in your book, but you can always print just the pages you need.
