How to upload pictures to computer

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

You don't need a cord. This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Even if you have to buy a card reader, it won't cost any more than a USB cable.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. How do I unlcok the

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Polaroid 1037 says memory full

The camera only has a small amount of internal memory, which will fill up quickly. You really do need to get a memory card or two, just as you'd buy film were you shooting a film camera.

How can i transfer my pictures when i can't turn it on? new batteries installed.

Hi Wendy, If you are using an external sd card, you can use an sd card reader. That is my favorite way of transferring pictures to my computer. They are cheap and you can take tons of pictures in high resolution. If you are using the on camera memory, you can connect with the usb cable to your computer and transfer that way. If you give me more info, maybe I can help. Here is a link to the manual for your camera.

After downloading SD to computer i replace disk

There are a few reasons for this and the most common is that you accidentaly slid the lock switch on the card. Look carefully for it and slide it back the opposite direction

the other major cause would mean that card was corrupted by the computer from either removing it before all transfers were complete or in some more extreme cases a virus can also lock some cards.
If it is not the switch then suggest get a new card
