Dishwasher won't start
check to make sure that you have power at the outlet ( under sink ). if you do in fact have power ( 120VAC ) at the outlet then it sounds like the door closed switch might not be working correctly.

Liduide soap
Hi mansim,
I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.
Your question is: how to use liquid dish soap in the kenmore dishwasher?and which place in dishwasher?
I think it prudent we are first clear on terminology. Based on your discription of your "dish soap", please be certain it says "dishwasher soap". If it doesn't say "dishwasher" on it then it's not meant for your dishwasher.
For a standard american dishwasher the soap goes into a small cmpartment in the door. Just open door fully and you will see the rectangular box on the left. Soap in, then close box. The dishwasher will open it on the second cycle.
Feel free contact me again!

Dishwasher won't fill
i would check your incomingwater supply after replacing faulty water inlet valve for faulty solenoid(chances are debris fouled that one. dissconnect at valve ck your pressure, possible after turnig of your water supply your shut-off valevwent bad and not fully opening
Soap is not leaving soap dispenser
sounds like your washing dishes without water. baked on dirt!!!! check under sink make sure water supply is on, next look on bottom of d/w inside tub, theres a mushroom shaped float, grab it and push up and downa few times, if its stuck in up position d/w will be tricked into thinkin its already filled with water
Dishwasher door won't open all the way
You;ll need to remove the "kick" panel first. Use a 1/4" nut driver or socket. Then open the door and remove the 2 phillips screws that mount the dishwasher to the underneath of the cabinet. Then scoot the dishwasher out about 6 inches or so. You'll be able to use a flashlight and look closely at the door hinges and spring assy. to see what's hindering the full extension of the door.
You MAY need to take the water valve off to get it to scoot out so you can work on it. Don't take the copper pipe off of the valve, just remove the screws that hold the valve onto the frame.
And don't forget to KILL THE POWER TO THE DISHWASHER PRIOR TO SERVICING!
My older built in Kenmore 3380957 Rev.A dishwasher.
If it is doing when it is washing, then it likely to be a problem with the pump, but it might just be 'hunting' because the filters are partially blocked. There is the filter that you can see easily, but there is a fine filter underneath that blocks with fine grey lint.
Water left in the bottom can be caused by that because the drain pump is past the filter and is on a timer.

Kenmore dishwasher model 587 has ERR code and lights flashing.
If you're experiencing an ERR code and flashing lights on your Kenmore dishwasher model 587, it indicates an error or fault in the dishwasher's operation. Unfortunately, without specific details about the error code or which lights are flashing, it's challenging to provide a precise solution. However, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Check the owner's manual: Refer to the dishwasher's manual for a list of error codes and their meanings. It should also provide troubleshooting steps specific to your model.
2. Power cycle the dishwasher: Turn off the dishwasher by unplugging it from the power outlet or shutting off the circuit breaker that supplies power to it. Leave it disconnected for a few minutes to ensure a complete power cycle. Then, plug it back in or switch the circuit breaker back on.
3. Check for obstructions: Inspect the dishwasher's interior, specifically the spray arms, filters, and drain pump, for any obstructions such as food debris or foreign objects. Clean or remove any blockages that you find.
4. Run a diagnostic cycle: Some dishwashers have a diagnostic mode that can help identify the cause of the error. Refer to the manual for instructions on how to initiate the diagnostic cycle.
5. Contact customer support: If the issue persists or you are unable to determine the cause of the error, it's recommended to reach out to Kenmore customer support or a qualified appliance repair technician. They will be able to provide further assistance and help resolve the problem.
Remember, the specific steps and options may vary depending on your dishwasher model. Consulting the owner's manual is always the best course of action when troubleshooting appliance issues.
