Press I<>I to select the desired channel
Holding down I<>I will change channels continuesly

are you using an amplifier? if so, you may be using the blue wire (antenna remote turn on) instead if the blue/white wire (amplifier remote turn on) to turn the amplifier on. the antenna remote turns off when leaving tuner mode.

the mp3 refers to the deck being able to play cds burned in mp3 format.

reset your ipod by holding menu and center button for 10 seconds or its the menu and play button on some ipods. yours probably downloaded something off net and now just needs to refresh like a computer

the problem is that you are not turning on the amplifiers,
pull the radio out there are 2 blue wires, you are using the wrong one
just switch them and the cd and ipod will work
good luck

make sure you have the wireing harness correct they can be tricky

Try switching off the iPod and then re-connecting it to your Alpine head units USB port allowing that to power it on. This will re-initialize the handshake between the two components and this should clear up the quit

THe frequency stepping cannot be changed on this unit.

There is no direct-connect cable for a Zune. Only iPod.

check the wiring to the speakers in the doors, sometimes, the wireharness for the car is not your best friend.
