There is most likely something stuck in the rubber hose between the drum and the pump, Unfortunately this is not easy to get to as it requires tilting the machine back and climbing underneath to remove the hose and check it. Make sure you disconnect the power before doing this.

Can I clean the steam kit DC97-09101J or do i need to re-order?

I would recommend having someone look at the machine. There are a few things that could be causing this to happen (The hose, your steam sensor) and it's better to spend the $ on getting it fixed than just purchasing parts that may or may not fix the issue. Good Luck!

Washer begins filling in short bursts for a few seconds and then stops and does nothing.

The unit has probably not drained and sensors are telling it not to add water. On the front of the machine is a door near the bottom that you remove and you can see the filter cap behind that door. If you remove that you can clean the filter. However, you will get lots of water all over the floor. So be ready with a vacuum cleaner that can handle water.

Why is water is continuously flowing from the detergent drawer, even when the washer is turned off?

i think an inlet valve has a fault or has gone rusty inside becouse its worn you should get someone in too fix it for you or you can tell which valve is faulty usualy at the back there is a red hot water and a blue cold water if you have both connected turn off the red one under the sink and see if the water stops try the blue next if it stops then replace the valve associated with the bad water intake viola a fixed machine two connections and two screws you shouldnt use it just now incase the valve decides to open fully and stay open can reck your home
