What causes a recurrent F21 error?

Hello. The drain error might be caused by something stuck in the large hose coming directly from the tub to the drain pump. Make sure the hose isn't kinked--there is a little pointer that shows the correct position. When you get all the water out, loosen the clamp that holds the hose to the tub and pull it down and away. Check to see if a piece of clothing has gotten jammed inside. Front-load washers are NOTORIOUS for sucking up baby socks, children's undergarments, hosiery of all types, underwires, slips, etc--the list goes on...Purchase several netted clothing bags and put these types of items in it. Wash the bag and DRY THE BAG, TOO! Also, I've seen where the clog is on the *outgoing* side of the pump--the hose that goes to the wall drain. Let me know how it goes. The part number for the tub to pump hose is W10003240 just in case yours is worn or gets damaged. I hope I helped you!

I have a Whirlpool WFW9150WW01, it fills normally on hot or warm water setting but cold water setting results in F8E1 error code. Rinse cycle fills with no problem. Any ideas about where to start?

Hello. Do you have a well or are you connected to city water? That error code means no water is getting into the washer--the clue is the COLD side. If you are on a well, sand, sediment, debris, is NOTORIOUS for clogging up the inlet cold water screen. Turn off the cold water. Get a towel to place underneath the cold hose as you disconnect it from the washer. Using a flashlight, look at the metal/plastic screen. Is it clogged with dirt/sand or whatever? If so, there is your problem--CAREFULLY, using pliers, pull the screen out and wash it out if it's plastic. If it's made of a fine wire mesh, VERY CAREFULLY use a tweezers or dental probe to gently work it back out--take your time and DON'T RIP IT! Now, if the screen is clean, then suspect a defective cold water valve--you will have to remove the top cover, and locate the cold water valve. You will need a voltage/ohm meter set to AC volts. When activated, there should be 120v at the coil of the valve to open it. If there *is* voltage, then the valve is bad. If there isn't, you've got a broken wire or a defective main board. The part number for the double valve is W10212596 and the single valve is W10212598. The main board number is W10309218. The picture below shows the part of the schematic for the main control board and the connections to it from the inlet water valves. I hope I helped you! 25859394-kucbmckx3u3x3wmaw0z02dzb-3-0.jpg

Washer wont fill with water/clothes dont get clean

Actually the machine is working like it is designed. When the correct soap is used, these machines clean clothes better than the old style. Try using a major brand of soap like Tide, Bold, or Cheer. Make sure it has the HE design on the bottle. This means that it is made just for the new High Efficiency machines. Also make sure you don't use to much. Read the directions. If this is done correctly, I'm sure you will find that it does clean great. I was like you when I first saw one of these new machines. "These is no way you can clean dirty and I mean dirty clothes without enough water to cover them. Well since, I have became a believer. They have put a lot of thought into designing these things. They had to of, for them to clean as good as they do.

F8E1 on my whirlpool duet WFW9150 front load

I too had the same problem and what I found (besides poor workmanship in the design of this washer) is that the pressure switch hose had rubbed the drum and there was a hole in it - leaking water, which I hadn't noticed until I sat there and kept re-running washer til a puddle had shown up below. They wire tied the top of the hose to the drum but at the bottom of the hose there were no wire ties and so the foam padding that was wrapped around just kept rubbing until it ripped and then left the hose exposed to the drum. They should have never tied the hose to the drum and should have attached the hose to the right cover. I will be modifying their design as soon as my new hose arrives.

Duet doesn't stop filling with water

Sounds like hole in rubber hose feeding PRESSURE SWITCH or could be switch itself, check hose 1st hole allows air to escape thus not operating the pressure switch, which in turn activates then turns off Fill Valves Good luck

Power button? It lights up but just beeps when you push it.

This problem is caused by a faulty door latch. You will need to replace the latch. Here is a link to the part you need.

F 28 error code

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

I have the whirlpool WFW9300VU02

F28 is a Serial Bus error from the CCU (Central Control Unit) to the MCU (Motor Control Unit).

The wires were loose resulting in the communication error. It's just likely you have a connector that came loose during shipping, but since its new you just contact Whirlpool, and they will send a tech. Out to fix it.

Remove the front panel. If the flip-top cover to the right of the drain assembly is popped up, then simply pop it back down. This cover holds the wire connectors into the terminals and often pops back up when the machine agitates.

Some tips:
- Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any
cycle.
- Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor.
- Check the drive motor for powered rotations.
- Check that the serial harness at the MCU is not mounted upside down. The wires should be to the left when facing the MCU connectors.

From Whirlpool site, download and read the manual (if dont mistake, on page 56 you will see a photo of the wire cover).

Hope helps.

The washer door is locked and the screen reads

Under the door there is a seam, there are 3 screws in that seam to remove to access that bottom panel. Remove the panel, reach up, there is a little "ring" beneath the door lock. Pull this down, it releases the mechanism.

INT means that the cycle was interrupted. If you unplug the unit for 30 minutes it should clear when all the electricity drains out of the control board.

If it doesn't clear it means you may need to order and replace the front interface control board behind the control panel. I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jeremy_69f3cc28d95bf514

What is code F35?

he "F35" error code is indicating a problem with the water level pressure switch operation (key#20). There could be a blockage in the air dome or pressure switch hose (key#21). The air dome is located on the back of the tub on the left hand side. (See image below) If the pressure switch hose and the air dome is clear of any blockages the likely failure is the water level pressure switch (key#20).

Error code f70

Hi,

F70 Error code means Central Control Unit Heartbeat Failure. If a Central Control Unit Heartbeat Failure is displayed, no communication is detected from the Central Control Unit to the User Interface.

F71 error code meansUser Interface Heartbeat Failure. If a Central Control Unit Heartbeat Failure is displayed, no communication is detected from the User Interface to the Central Control Unit.

In both the above situations the following things are required to be checked and replaced where required:

1. Continuity of the User Interface harness.
2. Wire harness connections to the User Interface and the Central Control Unit.
3. Replace User Interface if drum is rotating.
4. Replace Central Control Unit if drum is not moving.
