I dont have internet connection due to Airlink
OK, BOTH PC's need to have a Name, a login password, ALL be on same Workgroup. Also turn OFF DHCP. Go START>>RUN>>services.msc (enter) Now when the window comes up, scroll down to DHCP, set to OFF and Disable, then scroll down some more, until you find Zero Configuration Service, do the same for that turn OFF & Disable it from stating.
Now try to connect up via the WiFi again. You need to Run any software that your WiFi card uses, or if the WiFi Icon is in the system tray, R/H bottom, then you can,Right Click, on that Icon, and select "Connect to network" a window will show, and the SSID, or WiFi Connection name, YOUR network is should show Up. Now you select this network, and IF you have a WAP/WEP Key set on your router for WiFi Security, then you will have to input this number, into the KEY Or Password box to login. Now I suspect, that, now the next question is going to be, HOW do i get that number. OK, well, this is a bit of a "Mission" but here goes. You MUST hook up, A, Computer, to that router, via Ethernet cable, NOW using a browser, you Login to the router, by typing it's address into the Address bar of the browser. usually it is something like, HTTP://192.168.0.2 OR similar, you will have to check your Router manual, for those details, NOW you must login, usually the name and password is admin, BUT again the exact detail are in your manual, you MUST have a manual. OK, after you are into the router, go to the Security section, here is where you set and generate your WEP/WAP Key Password. When you "Generate" it, copy/paste it into a notepad, document. you must do this as it is a 128 number, number. sometimes it is expressed as hexadecimal. Whatever, you need to have this so you can copy/paste back into the "Other" PC's that wish to access the net, at login. It is too big to type in see. Anyway, when I set networks up. Usually I at first, leave the network UNSECURED. and save all seting. Then go to "Client" PC's get it all working, without a password. when all is fine and all can access the internet etc. THEN, I go back into the router, Generate a key do as prior related, go back to the "Clients" reestablish, a connection, put in the KEY.and button it all up. That way you know it is all OK. You do NOT have to do it this way, you can go straight to doing it with a KEY, but, if you do,and there are problems, you don't know.if it is the Router, System, PC, OR KEY, So it removes a confusing variable to start with.
