I believe you will need the lid cover lock latch switch with arm. It may be simple as a bent arm on it not aligning up. with pin

I am not a repair professional. I am a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. So the machine ID doesn't mean much to me. Your first stop should be at youtube. Just search for the help you need. You could search for "clothes dryer repair" or "clothes washer repair" or "dishwasher repair". If you are not able to view and/or download the videos, or after you've seen all you want to see, I suggest you go directly to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good step by step trouble shooting and repair information on washers, dryers. and dishwashers as well as other appliances. Another excellent site is www.acmehowto.com If you have a direct drive top load washer and need help taking it apart these youtube videos are wonderful help. I was so impressed with them that when I saw all these people needing help, I wanted to tell them about the videos. If you look at the back of your top load washer and the panel is solid (no small inspection plate to remove, which would indicate you have a v-belt drive) chances are you have a direct drive and this video (direct drive washer repair) is just what you need. After you've seen all the appropiate videos, or if you have a belt drive washer, you will probably still need help in determining what the trouble is and how to fix it. I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good trouble shooting and repair nformation on most washers and dryers, dishwashers and many other household appliances. I think you'll find what you need there. Another excellent site for DIY help is www.acmehowto.com Don't worry about the timer on a washer, they hardly ever go bad. your agitator dogs are stripped there about $10.00,remove cap to replace. easy,need 1/2 to 3/8 adapter or 7/16 socket depending on model. and your coupler is broken about $20.00 its what runs yous washer its like your belt under neath between motor and transmission , less cloths max water will stop it from happening again

sounds like you have a broken drive coupling....will the unit agitate ok??

Check your dog agits they are inside of the agitator, remove the cap with a flathead screwdriver then you should see a 7/16 bolt remove in order to pull out the agitator.

Your drain pipe it's too low. It needs to be a certain distance above the ground.

If like you said its spinning just not drying your clothes, then I would check the transmission plate and clutch. When the transmission leaks oil it goes into the transmissions plate wich has this break pad inside which hooks up to the clutch during the spin cycle in order to make the tub spin. If it is worn out or if it has oil it won't spin fast and will not dry your clothes.

First thing to check for would be is it agitating? (Washing) if it does not wash or spin I would check the motor coupling,If it is not spinning I'd check lid switch, if bad replace it, yes you can do a bypass but I've seen timers burn out because of this before, if lid switch it's good next thing is make sure there isn't anything stuck in your water pump. I have found baby socks in there before, and lastly transmission and clutch assembly.

I have a Kenmore elite oasis top loader. The tub bearing caused the noise level to get increasingly higher over a period of a few weeks. Finally it sounded like an airplane taking off. I thought about trying to fix it myself. Meanwhile I talked to the Sears representative and they offered me a one year warranty ( my old warranty ran out last year and I did not renew). The cost was about $135.00. However, I talked to a relative who works in the factory and he thought that was a good deal. I called the repairman and am glad I did. The bearing was stuck so badly that he had to remove outer tub and finally replace with a new one. Two men came the next day and installed the new tub and associated bearing. I saved a lot of money and the washer sings quietly now. So, before you get in over your head, you might want to see if there is an available warranty. Otherwise, get ready for a fight getting the bearing out from under the washer.

Yes under the dash (control panel) you will find a vacuum dashpot and it may have an adjustment screw on the end of it. But make sure the water level switch is working first.

That unit has a high volume pump. The drain line MUST be MORE THAN 59inches tall.
