My Kenmore front-load washer starts to make the huge noise. The noise happens during the wash cycle, but is mild. During the spin cycle, the noise becomes really loud. It looks like the drum is getting loose and hitting other part of the machine. I checked the drum, and I can sway the drum easily with my hand. So it looks some supporting structure is broken. I don't know if it is easy to open the washer to check what has been broken.
You may need to remove and replace the door gasket. Is there a dirt and soap on the seal
itself? This may be a cause of preventing a proper seal from taking place. Here's what you can do. Wipe the door seal
carefully making sure that the edge of the gasket is clean.
There is a black peg on the round housing of the washer that gets pushed in when the door is closed and the machine locks the door. If the peg gets broken (as mine did) the machine won't lock. I now use a small screw...or you can buy a replacement part for the whole mechanism.
it sounds like you have something obstructing the pump. does the machine eventually empty? or does it remain with water in it. you need to remove the hose that leads from the tub to the pump and clear any debris. if you continue to run with debris in the pump you could burn out the pump motor
If you are having trouble draining the water from the wash tub, and cannot get it to drain with a shop vac, you can drain it directly from the tub. If you don't own a shop vac, you may have to bail. If your drain pump does not have a clean out trap, remove the inlet and outlet hoses to access the inside of the drain pump. Inspect the pump impeller for obstructions and/or damage. If the water will not drain when you try to pull a vacuum on the drain line, you may have to disconnect the drain hose from the bottom of the wash tub. In some front loaders, there is a ball valve in the drain hose from the bottom of the wash tub to the drain pump. This ball can act as a collection pint from lint and debris. You will need to remove the hoses from the bottom of the wash tub to clean this area. I would recommend doing this as a LAST resort. Often, it can be difficult to reconnect this hose to the tub and get it to seal correctly. I hope this helps you. Please post back if you need further assistance.
These machines have a filter you should clean depending on your usage. It is usually at the front bottom - a small door. This is a filter before the water gets to your outlet pump to be siphoned out; it is there in order not to clog up your pump.
Make sure they didnt lock the control panel if it just beeps when u press buttons that might be it. there is a button u can press and hold for 3 seconds to lock and unlock the control hope that helps
Thats a simple one to replace. Unplug unit. Take a putty knife and release clips that secure console to top. They are located on each front corner of console. Raise lid. Unplug harness from switch. Take ground screw out that is part of switch assembly. Release plastic tab that holds switch in place and remove switch. Install and snap into place new switch with lid open. Put ground screw back in place and plug harness back into place. Lower lid and then raise and listen for clicking noise. Put console back in place. That’s it.

It depends on the model, but usually related to the lid lock. Also check the breaker.
Why does my washer stop working after filling with water?
If the Top Load Washer stops after filling with water, be sure to check the house circuit breaker/fuse as well as the outlet and plug. Washers should be plugged into their own separate, dedicated outlet.

Usually it's the lid switch..When you open the lip look straight down usually..When you close the lid it inserts a small plastic piece that goes into the hole telling the washer the lids down..If it broke it will make the washer stop mid cycle..You can stick a wooden (only made of wood) into the hole and sometimes it will start to work..Then you know that's the problem and just get your model number of the washer and replace it..Hope this helps
You start with under the agitator, then the filter, then the pump, then the hoses at the base of the drum and then everything else.
Then you find nothing and remember you took it out of your pocket and put it in........
