It sounds like the power supply in your computer has gone bad. Thats the box you plug the power cable into in the back of the computer. It looks like you should be able to get a standard ATX power supply and replace it.. or have someone do it for you. You can get one for no more than $50, sometimes less.

Usually this happens due to either virus or network misconfiguration.Ensure that all systems are running free of virus.First close down all systems and remove them from network. Began scanning each system. The problem when many computers are running in network is that if one system is having problem it can effect other systems too.

It is very likely that you simply do not have the right BIOS setup for the new processor. You will likely have to flash all your bios to get the new processor to both be recognized and to be able to recognize components on the motherboard. That is quite a jump in technology and it may be that the motherboard simply will not support the new processor period. In that case, be VERY careful buying your new board and make sure it specifically supports your processor. Sorry I could not be more help!

The video card sends video data to the monitor. If the monitor does not display any images then the video card could be faulty.It could also mean the monitor is faulty.To check whether the video card or monitor is faulty, connect another monitor to your computer, if this monitor also does not displays any image then the video card is faulty.

It can't be the cord, that's for sure. It wouldn't power on at all with a faulty cord. It can be either the power supply or the motherboard. I assume you don't have another power supply to replace the current one, so the only thing you can do to test it is to remove as many devices possible from the power supply and see if it is starting. You can remove any CD/DVD device, floppy and HDD. Just remove the power cord that comes from the power supply into the device. Sometimes the power supply does not have enough wattage power for all the devices hance it fails to start. If it powers up then you know for sure it's the power supply not having enough wattage. If it's doing the same thing still your cheaper option would be to replace the power supply with a more powerfull one and if it's still doing the same bit will isolate the problem to the motherboard which if it's faulty you will probably have to replace pretty much the whole system because new motherboards need new RAM DIMMs and maybe new graphic card.
As for the power button, if you open the case you can check if the cables are connecter properly, the PIN marked with PWR (could be something different but similar saying that it is the front button) should have the cable marked the same connected to it.

Examine the setup options to see if there's a failsafe mode or a BIOS reset/restore. Otherwise contact Acer tech support to see if they can provide a BIOS reset. You may have to send it to them. Older motherboards had BIOS on a 28-pin socketed chip called an EPROM. These could be ordered from various suppliers with upgrades, etc. I have not seen these in use lately.
