HP Pavilion Slimline s3700f PC Desktop Questions & Answers
My computer will not restore with the F11 key
Unless referring to the old legacy keyboard that you have already mentioned
Assume the USB keyboard was purchased & supplied with the Vostro 200?
If correct then it will have a USB 2.0 cable connector
Do not connect USB keyboard using indirect adapters/hubs etc.
Ensure the USB keyboard is connected directly to one of the USB Root Hub ports, (e.g. one of the rear panel USB ports) before you power on the PC
Does tapping the F2 key during boot loading allow access to System Setup (BIOS) Settings?
Ctrl+F11 will not work if you have previously done an XP Clean Install or deleted/modified partitions
If keyboard is OK then you may have to do a Windows XP Clean InstallAlso note that tried to do a system restore by going into
Start--> All Programs --> Accessories --> Systems Tools
--> System Restore tOR If it is there you will have to start the computer, press F8,choose "Repair Your Computer"
Factory reset
As you describe it you have a faulty HDD.try with safe mode F8 i believe and se if get in to windows.then check the logg of any clues to way windows won't start.you maybe just have to run start-repair.let me no of the result,
I forgot the bios password
You'll have to open up your computer and reset the CMOS battery which will clear the BIOS password. To reset the CMOS, locate the battery and remove it. Then using a pair a tweezers to create a short where the battery was. Place the battery back in and your BIOS should be reset.
Why my psu gets hot when its on for 1 hour then
PSUs get hot regardless. If it's not adversely affecting your computer (i.e. it shuts off, it slows down tremendously, etc...) then it's nothing to worry about. Remember, a lot of current goes through the PSU and that conversion of energy is going to cause heat (as a loss of energy). Especially since this is (I assume) one of the Slimline models with an external PSU it's converting AC to DC to power the unit, you're going to notice it because there's no fans running to cool it down. It's the same with any desktop model with an external PSU. I wouldn't worry about it. But if you're concerned, just make sure it's not on any carpeting, put it on a surface that will help dissipate the heat (something metal) and see if that helps at all.
Hp pavilion slimline x3507c pc. when I boot up the
very simple bring a new AGP card and plug in it on your pc and plug the monitor pin in new agp now start your computer . monitor will turned on.
if the monitor is not turned on its mean your have problem in your ram or mother board for that pluged out your all rams from your pc and start your computer if cpu ring a beep its mean you have ram problem and the mother board is ok but if you cant hear any beep its mean mother board's problem ram is ok.
Monitor screen lights up for
Have you tried plugging the monitor to a different computer? This will tell you if the monitor is bad if it works correctly in another computer then most likely your video card has gone bad and needs to be replaced.
I did a power button
Try this first.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet for about ten minutes then plug it back in and see if your PC powers up.
If still no power, the power supply is shot and will need to be replaced, it costs about $40 for the part.
I hope this helped.
Good luck and have a pleasent day.
I just install a new
Hi,
Try loading to BIOS and from there go to BOOT page and make sure that the primary boot is your ODD/DVD drive.
Hope it helps. =)
Removing virtual drive
It depends what program you used to add it in the first place. Open the software and look for settings, or just uninstall it.

What does a HP laptop notebook with model number A6Y530A look like
learn to google mate.
this is no secret, gee millions sold.
A6Y530A
the partsurfer shows true model, and fails
this is the only post here ever asking for reverse code lookups
on models fake, and is not easy in vast cases
I guess you have no such PC, (look like)
so why ask this>? what prompted this quest>? not told
why not ask seller for photos of it if this is a pre sales question , is it>?
google and bing and HP all show that model # is BOGUS
so go back to your sell and ask the we can not guess PCs ever.
HP product ID# is best on the service tag for SURE.
where did you see this number, not told.
or that number is some 20+ year old COMPAQ PC ,lost in the sands of time, and no google hits.
you posted to HP forum, (not real) Hp.com is real
Hp pavilion g series manual
what does not working mean (KBD) dead, or 1 key bad or row. what?
symptoms matter most, for sure in a LAPTOP IS IT
the word Pavilion is on laptops and desktop, dig?
G mean zero , the service tag does not just say "G" sorry.
easy peasy lemon squeezy
HP.com
complex URL no?
go there
tell them your model # or better the service tag code ! .
then magically HP puts you on YOUR service support page
and all manuals and all driver before your eyes. amazing no?
NO told at all
or of a laptop or desktop or what./?
you posted ANON so I can't just read other posts by you to learn what PC this is , no I can not.
there are over 100 PC called G series, and vast years.
some PCs by them G1 to 7 are generations, like
HP Pavilion g6-1029tx Notebook.
if you can find the service tag the product ID # is what matters most
this code includes (real model, version , options and country sold)
see this, older PCs by them had this.
see that , all matters but do not post SN/ or service codes in public.
mine: procuct code (nnnnnnABA#)
https://www.pcdied.com/TAG-jive/tag-elite8540w.JPG
I will guess it is 17" laptop, here is the mess just that 1 sized
once you see this you know that G series means not MUCH>

The airplane mode button is stuck on orange although my computer say's airplane mode off
old PCs do that, for many reasons. but no PC told at all just HP.
40 years of PCs ,10000 + models nobody can guess ever.
but I do have the answer, in pure generic form.
did you buy the PC like that used and bad Wifi. ?
- the wifi card is missing, as was super common 10+ years ago.
- someone put in the wrong card, not from HP list
- HP blacklists (bios blocks) none HP cards (wifi)
- the card needs a driver to work if not it is dead or 1/2 dead.
- the PC needs 1 more driver to make the wifi buttons all work , all buttons related, if not they are dead or act odd.
- The OS is infected, no OS told at all, not one clue nor if upgraded the OS, and not vast drivers are wrong or missing, (classic)
Im sure this this is not the free w10 upgrade, if it was that too kills drivers dead, for sure HP told you this unstated PC will not run W10 and has zero support from HP, on w10 AS YOUR SUPPORT PAGE WILL DISCLOSE TO YOU AT HP.COM
How reinstall bios on a HP dv9000
bad news now your bricked it just like miillions did
google bios update bricked my PC and cry.
why are you here and not at HP.com
only they can recover bios.
they changed the rules now 10 time.
so only they know this, and are pain to deal with.
UEFI is the enemy here, new rule and regressive as can be.
in fact all new PCs can not be regressed, and some old now
they even delete the 20 version of bios there, to force that.
not saying they did that to your PC, but keep that in your head on all HP PC.
the last bios upgrade stated, no going back.
the Cntrl_+B might work , the flashback bios trick\
in your manual if you read it.
