Will not power up. put in new batteries and unit

You must sync the remote. To do this first take off Battery cover of board.(leave batteries in) Then press the tiny red button on the front of the wii console next to the sd card slot for 2 seconds. Look at the back cover for battery in the board. In the battery compartment there is a tiny red button that looks like the one one the wii. Press it and they should sync. Now your remote should work.

The Balance Board will not turn on. I have

Did it properly re-synch?Make sure batteries are in correct, sensor bar is not obstructed and is as far forward wherever it is sitting.I assume you went to Nintendo site for troubleshoot? If not, then if you read it from the manual it is the same information.I used to fix Nintendos. The site also suggests a completely different set of batteries.I use AA rechargable Energizers which I bought at one of the dollar stores for $10,perhaps family dollar. There is an extra 8-pack of them available at K-mart and they last much longer than anything. Also,if you do not use anything battery powered for a long time, remove the batteries.Sorry,I got off the subject but I intend to inform and educate people by supplying as much info as possible with not just the problem at hand but the subject of batteries, period. If none of that works, the balance board circuitry may be bad or the Wii may not be reading the balance board. If you do end up having to send the Wii in for repair, send everything except the games.Send cables, power adapter, remote(s),balance board. If anything is bad it will be replaced.I worked at United Radio in NY and depending on where you are, they may have you send it there. Here is the Nintendo link.If you have any questions, just comment here and I will get an autolink and reply ASAP.Good luck,Greg

Wii fit wont turn on, switch wont stay in

The switch on a Wii balance board is not one that stays in, it is not a spring loaded toggle switch. Also it will only stay on if you are in a game that uses it (like Fit, or a select few others). This is a battery save feature. If you are not logged in to a game that uses it the balance board senses that it is useless and turns off after a couple of seconds. This is true even if you have a game that uses it in the Wii but you are in the menu.

Please step off me and press A

Sensor fault easily fixed by reseating steal plate on feet.
Need a special screwdriver bit to remove plate and reseat it.
Each foot has 3 posi-drive screws to remove cover, then use special star bit to remove plate and then reseat it.
Make sure you have a good set of batteries.
DO NOT USE "RECHARGE PACKS" as they can permanently damage the control board.
Hope this helps.
