Vivitar ViviCam 8025 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
How do i down load pictures on my computer off my camera
There are a couple of ways. The best is to remove the memory card from your camera and insert it either in the SD card slot on your computer if it has one or into a USB SD card reader attached to your computer. Your computer (Mac or PC) will recognize the SC card as if it were any add on USB device such as an external hard drive. Go into "Finder" if you have an Apple or "Explorer" if you have a PC and you will find the device. Open the device/folder. In most cases there will be one or two sub-folders. Open the folders and look for files with the extension ".jpg". Those are your pictures. You can now create a folder on your desktop or another location and copy and paste or cut and paste your photos into that file.
The second method is to download the pictures directly from your camera using a USB cable. Although I am not familiar with your particular camera, there should be a small connector in which you can plug in the USB cable that should have come with your camera. Plug the other end into a USB port on your computer. The computer will recognize your camera as a device; just as it did in the first method. Again you can copy and paste your photos from your camera to your computer in the same way as I previously explained.
The third method is to use a transfer program. Most, but not all, cameras come with one or there are many for sale. Adobe has that function in there Bridge and Lightroom software although you may consider it pricy. With the software installed you can either connect your camera to the computer with a USB cable or use an SD slot or card reader. The software will automatically download and display your pictures.
How to open battery door for vivicam F126
Well after looking at the manual, it is of no help but the pictures show it hinging open. Try pressing down and sideways along the compartment door from hinge line to outer edge. It it slides, it should unlock.
Read reviews that indicated Vivitar customer support told an owner to visit a camera shop. Manual is on the CD included with the camera.
Good luck.
What dose MSDC mean
Mass Storage Device Class:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MSDC
If your camera is saying this then it's either connected to your computer or thinks it's connected. With most cameras this is not an error but simply a notification that the camera is connected and can be used as a storage device but not as a camera.
Where is there a sound button on a vivitar camera
most Vivitar cameras don't have speakers so if you want to hear the sound you either have to download the video onto your PC with the USB cable or play it directly from the camera using the USB cable and Vivitar software.
The sound on my vivtar isnt working
The 8025 was designed primarily as a still camera, with some video features grafted on. As such, it captures images not sounds. You can add a soundtrack using video editing software on a computer, but the camera does not record any sound.
What does card protected mean?
Wheb you have a SD, SDHC or SDXC memory card and you put the switch to the lock position, the card is protected, That means nothing can change the files that are stored on the card. Not by wiring, not by deleting and not by formatting. Keep the lock with up, towards the golden connection points.
On the picture the 64 GB card is unlocked. `the 32 GB card is locked

Not turning on
When a camera has problems to start, most of the time the batteries are weak, of there are contact issues. On the other hand, when the display can show characters, there could be another problem. But I can't find anything in the manual. please contact your dealer, if you have checked everything about the battery and contacts. Read about half of my posts, to see how often batteries are the culprit.
Cant see image in lens
Perhaps change your camera settings to the still image mode. It is the icon that looks like a camera you might have your setting on the playback mode
