Nikon COOLPIX L101 Digital Camera - Page 7 Questions & Answers
Im getting a purple, blurry and striped preview
Best Buy is not as return friendly as some stores, in my experience. That is why I avoid buying from them as much as possible. Sam's Club offers a great return policy and they have very inexpensive maintenance warranties too. They base theirs on the cost of the item in most cases. I would try returning the camera to Best Buy. Take some evidence of your trip dates with you. If the sales person refuses, ask to speak with a manager. If the manager refuses, go to their Facebook page and post the problem and write the company's CEO and explain the circumstances.
How do I set self timer on Nikon L330 camera?
On your camera there is a multi selector. On the left is a clock icon. Select that and press OK. Frame the picture area and press the shutter button half way down to focus. Press the shutter button fully down and you have approximately 10 seconds before the picture is taken. If it is on a tripod, turn vibration stabilization off prior to taking the picture, for better results.
Where would one pick up a replacement bulb fopr a Nikon Cool Pix L100, it burnt out with a pop!
Hi Bobby - Although you COULD get a replacement from Nikon, it's the kind of job best left to professionals due to the high voltages involved. Granted, you may only put a couple of 1.5 v batteries in it, but the camera jacks that up to around 4,000 v to fire the flash.
Unless the camera had been dropped or something, the flash should have lasted the life of the camera. Its very likely that another part of the camera's control circuitry (such as the high voltage limiter) has failed. Best to play it safe.
How do I turn off the flash
Lots of cameras won't let you turn off the flash in Full Auto mode. Trying changing your camera to Apature Priority ( A, Av) or Shutter Priority (S, Tv) or Manual (M) and see if the option to turn off the flash appears in the menu.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to transfer pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo management program.
Difference between lithium battery and AA size battery for camera
"Lithium" refers to the chemical makeup of the battery. "AA" refers to the size of the battery. There are such things as lithium AA batteries.
If your camera takes AA batteries then lithiums will give you more shots than other types. They will also cost more.
Broken lens coolpix
To find out, contact a Nikon certified repair centre. But first ask them what it will cost. Repairs could cost more than a new model with the same spec's.
Nikon coolpix s710 pictures have a streak
I think your picture has a bright light source in the frame. In digital cameras this phenomenon is common that in some angle these streaks of lines are produced with very bright light sources. be careful not to include bright light source while taking pics. But if u have these streaks and line in all the frames, then better check your camera with the service centre.
My video and audio are way out of sync, what's wrong?
There could be countless reasons. One of them is - your SD card.
Make sure it has a higher read/write speed to match the capability of the camera.
