I seems that your phone's firmware is damaged. I'll recommend you to update your phones firmware.

For transfer of phone numbers on SIM card you have to go to phone book menu and enter options , inside these option you may find copy phone numbers to SIM card or vice versa, its always good to keep SIM as default memory if you keep changing phones but at the same time you will have limited space and limited flexibility of data storage per contact

As far as transferring SMS on SIM I dobut if its possible now, one thing could be you set your phone now in such a manner that all messages get saved in the SIM memory, this setting maybe available in messages settings.

Did you have it locked by the network?
If you did only they can unlock it but if it wasn't by them try the PUK code which you can get from the network provider.

Hi, please contact the Customer Care of the Network carrier to get the PUK Code which an be used to unlock the Sim Card.

Welcome to Fixya. If the phone becomes hot it means that there's something wrong with the motherboard. If the executive told you that you need to pay for the repair you need to check the warranty. Sometimes warranty covers repair only but not the parts or it will depends on the warranty agreement.

Hi, the message you are getting is telling you 1 of 2 things, now its either telling you that the sim card in the phone has either not been registered or it has not been topped up within a set time so its now been cancelled but if how ever the sim card is one that has been used on a regular basis then the chances are the sim card reader in the phone is now faulty.

you could try the following
1 take the sim card out of the phone, switch the phone on then switch it off again, then put the sim card back in the phone making sure its in far enough and the right way round then switch it back on and see if anything has changed.
2, try your sim card in some one else phone and if it works in their phone then you no you have got a problem with your phone
3 try another sim card in your phone making sure the sim card is from the same network as the phone is locked to,
if you try using a sim card from the wrong network it will give you the message your getting now so make sure you have got a sim from the same provider the phone is locked to.

You may get this problem because of the firmware or software. You can try flashing your mobile using sonyericsson update manager.

Hi mate i had same problem this morning, i was gutted cos i got mine off ebay, so have no guarantee, however i went to se site and updated the softwear, even that there was no update, it re-installed the softwear and wala its working fine, am i ha happy bunny. Hope it works for you? Meurig

OK i have just fixed my W995 that also came up with No network coverage out of the blue. Also when i went to charge it it said i needed a SE battery.

All this problem is, software. Yes simply all your phone needs is a software update. Sony Ericsson are known for disconnecting peoples phones if they do not have the latest software.

go to setting and turn on wireless visibility on

from the specifications you have provided it is clear that you are having both software as well as a hardware problem .first of all go for a software update of your phone. then go for a hardware check up. probably your phone is unable to recognise its own battery.
