The TV is set in wrong audio mode, probably SAP, go to menu and then adio and set it for standard audio mode or stereo. then it shoiuld work fine. If that don't work then unplug the set from the wall for 40 Min. and it will rest back to normal.

volume up and down will go left and right in the menu channel up and down will go up and down in the menu
my insignia has no enter button so hopefully you can push menu, mine won't work and i have to put enter on the remote. you can try to program a universal remote, if you can get that one button you maybe can adjust.
some cableboxes or sat boxes will let you adjust the pic size in their settings. try looking for a setting here too if it applies.
You can just buy a new remote. Test it using the smartphone front camera trick. Or it is the television that has no signal, do a Power Reset. Pull the mains plug for 5 minutes. Press and hold the power button on the set for 1 minute. Plug back in. Also check the input leads on the back for whatever is supplying the signal, Cable, Satellite, OTA, then check the Source button on the remote.
