the fact that unit is nor working after a lightning strike means that all that you have done is to no avail and it will co9st more to continue with repairs than to replace the unit

What your describing is symptoms of a power surge, Many LCD Tv's are sensative to Slight fluctuation in power during rain, thunder and lightning storms, i myself was happily watching Tv through such a storm at one time, and when i went to bed the TV would not respond remotely or manually, i also disconnected the power from the wall waited for the ready light to disolve and try to turn on, unfortunatley the damage was done, a Tv Repair was nessecary and since then i now use a belkin power surge protector board for my TV and appliances......one question to you is i would guarantee you do not use a surge protection my friend......and your set will need a Tv Repair, it is not major as what is neccesary is a firmware dump on the internal memory and replace the BIOS Battery as well.

A popping sound as you describe sounds as if your tv blew a couple capicators on the main control board. More than likely , you are needing to aquire a new main circuit board.

Hi Billy
Will you please upload a picture of the screen to your TV? The description you've provided here is too difficult to get.

You will not have any luck, The Screen only uses RF for control. As far as I know there is no IR receiver on the unit or any RS232!! A nightmare for integrating this product into universal control systems.

FIXED!!..I had the same problem. Power board looked fine (not blown capacitors) It started after a moving...it was just faulty (loose) connectors from the powerboard to the mainboard..... I just unplugged and plugged them back firmly. db2f651f-d050-4b58-b50a-79ef9a8650f9.jpg
