Bd-p4600
Have the very same "This disc cannot be played problem". My player has never played a disc successfully and now will not accept discs OF ANY KIND!. Have been patiently waiting for an update but, after installing Firmware 2,21 Released
2012.06.12, I GIVE UP.I am intending to bring a class action against Samsung for this headache. If you care to join, email me at [email protected]
Wont read bluray disks
If there is no reading of the disc then there is no laser scanning and the possibility that the laser head can be defective.
Try to clean the laser head unit.
If other DVD are working except bluray discs then above seems otherwise we must recheck with possibilities of a malfunction of the main processor board
I own a Samsung BD
I had this problem after the Decembe 2010 firmware upgrade. Today I went to the samsung website and downloaded the RUF file for USB. You must also downloand the instructions for installing the upgrade again. It will probably take 2 installs. Now all works great. Problem solved/.

Wont't read the disc
Get a can of canned air and try blowing it inside the unit. It might be dust on the laser. This might be obvious, but try a different disc and see if that works.
After i did the firmware 2.13 update my samsung
Sorry this isn't the solution but, I'm having the same problem....I talked to two different Samsung reps using their online chat. They both told me they never heard of this happening....But I personally found over 30 different people online with the same issues.. My BD-P4600 wont play Blu-Rays after the 2.13 firmware update. It only plays DVD's ...Samsung customer service sucks!!!!
Bluray player wont read blurays or dvds anymore
Get a disc cleaning kit and run it in the machine to clean the optical pickup lens. Let the unit dry out for about 10 minutes and try your disc. Also, make sure your discs are not region specific and all scratched to hell or dirty. If that don't do the trick then you gong to have to open this puppy up and replace the optical drive as it has given up the ghost. If your still under warranty, then take it back to the shop and have them deal with it.
Cheers old chap.
