It really all depends on what else you may have hooked up and, what inputs you have on your TV. If you have an open HDMI in on your TV, I would use that because you will get your sound and vidoe with one cable(HDMI). If you don not have an open HDMI port on your TV, component cables are the your next best option video wise. The component cables do not carry sound so, you would have to get your sound by using,(best) digital optical or RCA. After looking at your player, your best picture would be using component and, it says it has SPIDF out but doesn't exactly specify what kind but, if you don't have the component cables, use youe RCA jacks(yellow), video out, and red and white(left and right audio) out from player to suitable input on TV. If I looked at the right player, there is no HDMI out on it.

If you have red, white, and yellow on both DVD and TV it should work. The DVD is obviousy an output so, check your connection on TV. You may find that if you scan through the TV's menu, you will have sound in one arae and picture in another. If you have a DVD in or AUX input on the TV try, and make sure you use the inputs for the respective setting, to hook up there and see what happens. You want input on TV.

You may have enabled the child lock feature, try pressing the Return, Enter and Power buttons together to toggle the lock off. If this is disabled and you still can't open the tray, turn off the unit and unplug it. After 30 seconds or so, plug the unit back into the electrical outlet. Attempt to open the tray. If this does not solve the problem, try pressing Power + Stop + Eject buttons together. Also try pressing Disc1 + Stop + Eject simultaneously (if a disc1 button is on the remote or player).
If the error message is t - L C K or persists after trying all of the above steps, then you need the unit serviced.
The manual is available at the Sony support site:

Hi. We have a Sony
With the player in STOP mode, or without a disc inserted, press DISPLAY on the remote. Then press either the UP or DOWN arrow keys (on remote) to scroll down from LANGUAGE setup to SCREEN SETUP, then highlight the aspect ratio which best suits the connected TV, in this case 16:9 widescreen (according to the manual the default aspect is 4:3 letterbox). Once you have made the change, exit the setup. It should remember the setting you have made.
Pages 26 to 27 of the owner's manual illustrate the setup procedure for this model DVD player.
NOTE: some DVDs may be encoded as 4:3 titles, hence you will see black borders at the left and right sides of a widescreen TV. Not all DVD movies are encoded in the 16:9 aspect ratio.
However, you can check your player's setup menu just to be sure.
Does it support surround sound
Well not buit in, but it has a 92 KHz/16bit Audio DAC/96KHz/24bit decoder and coaxial digital audio output. So to get surround sound you need to connect the DVD player to your
home theater receiver using the Digital coaxial/optical output connector (i.e. fiber Optic). Your home theater has to be equipped with the same type of input and you could enjoy your DVDs in surround sound soon.
Note: the optical inputs and outputs are generally capped when not in use and you will need to remove the the cap to be able to plugin your cable.
Good luck and please don't forget your thumbs-up to help me help you further. ty !
