Takes too long to preheat
remove the racks and take up the floor, set it to bake, you'll see the ignitor start to glow orange, when you see it start to glow the flame should lite within 40 seconds,if it doesn't you have a bad ignitor.open the draw under the oven door, look on the frame around the opening where the door closes into, you'll see a tag with the model number on it,give the full model number off of the machine to your parts store and they'll sell you the correct ignitor.
Oven door stays slightly ajar
check the bottom of the oven door when it is open and see if there is anything in the way like food or anything els
Bake does not work
most likely you have a bad ignitor, this is the first thing that goes,if it glows and doesn't ignite the flame within 40 seconds after it starts to glow the ignitor is still bad even though it glows orange.if it's a flat ignitor it takes 3.2 amps for the ignitor to open the gas valve and ignite the flame,if it's a round ignitor it takes 2.5 amps to fire it up.you don't have to shut the gas down,if it's a fairly new machine no electricity will go to the ignitor either if it's shut off but you can shut the breaker down if you want.the machines are not like the older machines where you lite it with a match, they are electronic ignition so check the ignitor first,if it doesn't glow at all you can check the ignitor for continuity with a meter.if you need any more help send the full model number off of the machine, open the bottom draw under the oven door, look on the frame, left or right side and you'll see a tag with the model number on it.good luck and happy new year.
Digital panal is out
I had the same problem with another Kenmore model. Sounds too good to be true, but I unplugged it and left it unplugged for one minute, and then plugged it back in. This caused some kind of a reset and everything booted back up normally. You've probably already tried this, but sometimes it's the simple things that get overlooked... good luck!
Our kenmore 790 built in oven keeps flashing an
The F30 error code indicates that the electronic oven control board detects an "open" oven temperature sensor probe circuit.
This is usually caused by a failed oven temperature sensor probe.
Replacing this component will likely fix your problem.
You can order this part from www.searspartsdirect.com website.
If you replace this part yourself, be sure that you unplug the range to disconnect electrical power before accessing this component.
On some models, you can replace the probe by removing the screws that mount this component to the inside back wall of the oven.
Carefully pull the probe inside the oven cavity until you encounter the wire harness disconnect plug.
Unplug the sensor and replace it with the new one. Mount the new probe on the back wall of the oven.
On some models, you have to remove the lower back oven panel to access the sensor probe.
If you replace the probe and still have this problem, you will need to unplug the range and measure the resistance through the violet wires that plug into the control board (this is where the sensor probe circuit is connected to the control board).
If the resistance through the oven temperature sensor probe circuit is normal (about 1100 ohms at room temperature) then the electronic oven control board will need to be replaced.

Hi,You have one of two problems, either your sensor in the oven is off and the oven clock is unable to sense the temperature increase. Or the clock has lost its ability to read the sensor and shuts down. If you use a meter to read the value at room temperature should be around 1050-1070 ohms, if so replace the clock.Good Luck I’m happy to help further over the phone at

Hello, welcome to FixYa.
I understand you have the Kenmore 7904671 range, correct ? I also understand based on your post you're getting the F11 error message, correct ?
This range is built by Electrolux/Frigidaire as you may or may not know and according to the service manual, here's what it is and what you can do
...I will also add, Fault codes are not a foolproof system. Never assume that a part has failed based on a displayed fault
code.
("TST" is the touch sensitive panel and EOC is for Electronic oven control or timer)
...If you pull/slide the unit away from the wall and unplug it or turn the house breaker off for 30 seconds to a minute the control should reset. That should do it...unless either of the control's has failed.
Let me know how you make out and if you need anything further I'll be glad to help in any manner I can. Good luck.

Macmarkus :)

Normally soot is from a range that hasn't been converted for the gas type, like natural or propane. It may be set up for natural when you're on propane or visa versa. Has this range ever worked properly without sooting?

Hi,
After unplugging, try hitting stop/clear button and try
holding the "Delay/start" button for a couple minutes. This will help clear the code.
