I would check the ignitor. It probably died. Even if it does come on it could be weak. The gas safety valve might be bad but I doubt it. If it does not have continuity then ofcourse the ignitor won't glow. Check this out:

glows orange is nice but you actually need a multimeter and to perform an amperes test on the ignitor to assure that it is functioning properly would be drawing 3-3.3 amps if it were good any less then this and you would replace the ignitor Yes even if it glows orange the reason being is it is not getting to the heat point to light the gas as it flows out of the valve and also yes at 2.9 I suggest also replacing the ignitor as well which would constitute an weak ignitor. Before you got through the major expense of replacing the board. try replacing the thermocouple. sometimes the simple selution is the best solution.

I know exactly what you mean. have the same unit as you do. Mechanically there is nothing you can do. It is how it was engineered and was engineered that way for a purpose.

I also have many customers who have complained about the vent also.

What we do (if you have one) is turn on the microwave fan that is over head of the range. It then
sucks up the heat and vents it out.

But as far as doing anything with the vent I strongly recommend not altering the unit at all.

kenmore self cleaning range c970-595084 everything works except the oven will not heat up,on self clean door locks but thats all, top elements work, lights work, digital display works, but no power going to oven elements when i used a tester to check voltage. Can anyone tell me what to do? Is there a fuse for the oven only?

try powering the unit down for 15 minutes at the unit or circuit breaker,then power it back up and see if it clears these codes,then if not replace the e.c.u.(electronic control unit) and keypad

try to turn the power off for 30 seconds if that doesn't work make shift a door catch with a metal coat hanger and unlock the door, let me know,

Rubber feet for kenmore gas oven range, These are rubber plugs that fit into the bottom of the grate and are shaped like upside down mushrooms. There are 4 of them for each grill. The part number is wb2k101 from sears (special order). Cost is about $5 for a bag of 4 rubber feet.

if its an electric stove no it will not light without electric if its a gas stove make sure the pilots are lit under the panel where the burners are

This could be a problem with the gas regulator, gas supply pressure or the burners need to be cleaned. Here are the cleaning instructions for the burners. If you are still having problems with the burners I would recommend having the gas pressure & regulator checked.

the gas valve on the back isnt on... the valve doesnt stop the stovetop from working, only the oven. You are seeing the ignition element heating up and thats slowing heating the oven.

Replace the glowbar igniter in the oven.
