It would be unusual but this could be a bad timer in the control panel. The only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance. If possible use the meter and the wiring diagram to check input/output voltages looking for discrepancies between the diagram and the actual meter readings.

replace the valve solonoids, classic week solinoid problem.

there is no pilot it has an ignitor bar that glows when it lights the gas.

go outside and check the vent outlet. is air blowing out. if not clean vent, make sure vent hose is not kinked.

About all that is left to replace is the flame sensor mounted at 9o'clock on burner flame tube, but I would double check your airflow, This is CRUCIAL to the normal operation of the dryer.
Also, a lint filter with an invisible coating from fabric sheets can cause an airflow disruption, try running without clothes and the filter removed.

You need a coil kit for the gas valve they will waeken over time and not open when they are energized

Your machine needs a new motor the start switch on the motor has worn out I have tried replacing the sart switch but the result is the same!

There is a flame sensor on the side of the flame housing. Jump the 2 wires out and see if the ignitor glows then. If so you need a flame sensor.

If it is the timer thats not shutting itself off ,than check the following below
First off turn dryer ON and make sure there are no kinks in vent tube thats attached on back of dryer.2nd,find the outside vent opening and feel for strong air flow.If you have any doubt that its not strong enough then,pull dryer away from wall....pull the vent hose off the dryer ,.....now dry 1 load on a 50-60 minute Timed Dry Cycle.If all goes well, you now know your venting has to be cleaned out.(The only 1out of 1,000 other thing to check is your lint screen ,make sure you can see light through it.) 3rd and final , is if after running for 60 minutes with vent un hooked and still it is not drying competly,than you have to replace the Split coils on the burner,I really can doubt that you have a thermostat out.If you need to know the stats of the Split Coil to Thermostat ratio my experience is 250 Split Coils replaced to just 1 thermostat. Ok, I had to refresh my memory on exactly what information was provided to me. The link that I provided should have explained how to locate and TEST the thermostat for normal operation and to rule out any other cause. Yes, the solenoids could be at fault, but your description faults the thermostat. You can either replace all the parts concerned with the ignition process and eliminate all suspects, or you can test for the faulty component. The link I provided explains how to test and provides parts information.

Check your ducts that the heat blows out through. make sure there is no plug up in the dryer or in the ductwork.
You may have a problem with the termosensor or the high temp cut out safety switch/sensor. This sensor would be somewhere in the exhaust of the dryer.

Its time to call the repairman. If its the motor humming its either bad or the dryer is froze up and unable to turn causing the motor to hum. Eventually it will trip the breaker.

The switch on motor is sticking or broke. You can try cleaning lint from motor and around switch. (Box with wires going to it on motor.) If this doesn't work you probably need a motor.l

It can really only be two things. The element or wiring to it has failed or The Thermal fuse has been overheated and cut off power. Both can be checked with a Digital Multimeter. If your Amana dryer is not heating, it likely has either a defective heating element, thermal fuse, high-limit thermostat, or cycling thermostat. If you have a gas dryer, it is likely not heating because of a defective gas valve solenoid. Feb 2, 2022

That is dangerous. Call for service, the law says only registered gas technicians can work on gas appliances. Turn the gas off at the rear. There is enough gas in a dryer leak to blow your windows out on that floor. The igniter or thermocouple is faulty.
