When I push the button to sew, I get a message

try turning the handle toward you if it won't move then it is more than likely the bobbin case is in wrong take the bobbin case out and try turning the hand wheel toward you if it works simply replace the bobbin case back into the hook area correctly and that should fix the problem

The bobbin thread and top stitching is loose. It

looping indicates that the tension is not correct best thing to do is get some remnant fabric to hoop up while you work at adjusting your tensions, it sounds like your tension is too loose and sometimes it can take more than one needle change needles like anything can be defective

I have a brother 4000D

Sometimes, this error message appears not because of the needle or the bobbin case. There were times that it's a power issue.

The best advice I can give is to check the center of electronics (where the power routes) and the mini electronic board, if you could. Then if that fails, contact the manufacturer.

Good luck!

Bobbin thread is getting all tangled up and not

Check the needle to be sure it is installed with the flat side to the back of the machine.

Try sewing with general purpose thread to see if the machine is stitching as it should. Thread with the presser foot up.

If it is, then re-thread (presser foot up) with the nylon/clear thread. Tighten the tension as you test.

Screen comes up but the buttons at the bottom will not respond

Ok, turn off the machine, take the power cord off. Wait for a few minutes and replug it. Make sure there's no extension plug connected to it.
Then turn it on and check if the buttons work and it doesn't, check if there's any error message or indicator on the screen.

I have a brother sewing machine but all the

When you pull gently on the thread from the bobbin area, do you feel slight resistance? There should be resistance but it should not be tight. If the bobbin thread is in the bobbin case tension area properly and there is no resistance then you need to tighten the screw on the bobbin case to increase the tension on the thread. Do not tighten the top thread tension. To get to the bobbin tension screw on the case, some models require that you remove the needle plate and then the bobbin case. Some have a hole in the front housing that allows you to reach the screw without taking off the needle plate. Also make sure you're hooping the fabric tightly. When you snap the fabric when it's hooped, it should make a drum like sound. If the fabric is loose in the hoop, bad stitching will result

If you take the face plate off (left side cover) there is usually a small sensor "lever" that is activated when you raise or lower the presser foot. This could be bad or broken. Many models had plastic then they switched to a metal lever. I think this could be it.

Repair Japanese machine in the States

Always wiser to buy in the country that it will be serviced. Most likely would run into issues. I may be able to give you an even clearer answer, but in the case of a sewing machine. I would wait.
Thanks,

BROTHER PE-8500 EMBROIDERY MACHINE TOUCH

I was told to do this and it worked for awhile. Finally, I had to have the screen replaced.

Machine is OFF. Push start/reverse/needle buttons all at the same time while turning the machine on. You may need help from someone else. When the screen comes up, select 1 2 3 4 5 in sequence with pen supplied with machine. Do this 3 times. Hope this helps!! Linda

Sewing machine problem

I just solved this problem with much persistence and a few possible causes. Mkae sure the thread is good quality and cant shred, at least until problem is fiwed. Unscrew plate behind bibbin and check if there is any caught thread, this happens after bottom thread has been looping. Remove any and replace, wind down the needle to check it goes in the centre of hole.
And probably the most important fix it; the tension;
Have your tension set to zero, thread the machine, and when the foot is DOWN, make sure it is very hard to pull the thread. It should be easy to pull the thread when the foot is UP. If the thread is easy both ways it has not caught correctly in the tension plates, thread it again (and again) until this happens. It shouldn't be possible to thread the machine without it going in the right place, but it is. And make sure when you rethread that the foot is UP until you thread the needle-
Another problem maker I also had to fix; ever so slightly bent needle.
