Can you use metal bobbins in this machine?

Probably. Most are plastic today because they're cheaper. If they fit and work, go ahead. Here are parts being offered for your machine; 6130 is close to 6131. Euro Pro 6130A2 Parts

Europro model 6131 is stuck in reverse

I have never found any online instruction manuals and repair manuals are just as non-existent. You can try jiggling the reverse lever while turning the hand wheel. Other than that the only suggestion I have is to use the machine for target practice.

Is there an online manual for this?

YES, you can download it from http://www.sharkclean.com/manual/6131A-_021E4G0102_E-S-F.pdf My sewing machine is 6131 but when I asked the Shark website for a manual, this is what they sent and it appears correct.

No longer have my manual for my euro-pro model

You don't need the manual for that, although its always very helpful. www.Sewusa.com have a manual for the 6130 but I dont know how close that is to your machine, but you could certainly email them and ask. Or contact the local Euro-Pro dealership may well be the easiest solution.

Different feet are for different techniques and any good sewing techniques guide book should help you through.

Here is a good website on sewing feet.
http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/2009/06/feet-feet-feet/

If you are assembling garments then you will still use the standard pressure foot for 90% of the work. You would change to use the zipper foot to put in zips, maybe the blind hemming foot to turn up straight edge fabric (can't use on curved hems very well unless its a knit) or a rolled hem foot for turning in a small edge and stitching it. And of course the buttonhole foot, for getting nice neat buttonholes.

Your machine's accessories case may have these feet and a few others.
You may find sufficient info at www.sewing.about.com on where and how to use these feet.

Want to use other stitches on my euro-pro model

I have a lot of different sites, free and pay, that I search for manuals for people. But I didn't find a manual for a 6131. I DID find a 6130A and, often, models that are that close in number are very similar in their instructions.

Since the manual is free, it doesn't cost you anything but time to download it and see if it looks similar to your machine. It may give you the information you need on the feet. Go to http://homeappliance.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/europro/europro_6130a_lcd.html/ Go to the bottom of the pop up window and just agree to the terms-you don't have to take part in any of the offers or sign up for the sight. You'll then be taken to the manual and can download it without any viruses. The sites been checked before not just by myself but a couple of my friends who are bigger internet geeks than I am :).

I hope this manual gives you the help you need. Happy sewing!

When foot pedal is pressed, needle doesnt go up

If you are getting power and not sewing, it sounds like a bad foot control. (you don't need the entire power cord assembly). These are fairly easy to replace and can be found in most local sewing shops or places like ebay. To replace it your self, simply remove the old one and get a carbon style controller, slide the wires through the hole in the side and connect one wire to each screw, it does not matter which wire goes to which screw. Put the bottom cover back on and you should be good to go
