Check with your local Janome Dealer. They will have an update for the Digitizer Pro and the instructions for making DP work with Vista.

Please note: Janome DigitizerPro V2.0 is the only version that will work under Vista. If you do not have it, please go visit your Janome dealer for the free upgrade.

Also note: Vista will not install the software if you are not the computer Administrator.

Please read these instructions through, then follow them to install Digitizer Pro v2.0 and the dongle (HASP) driver.

Uninstall Digitizer Pro
Disable any antispyware or antivirus security software on your computer. It interferes with embroidery software installation.

Insert the JANOME DigitizerPro V2.0 CD into the CD drive.

Follow the installation prompts as normal.

When installation finishes, the computer will be restarted. Following the restart, you will be asked to insert the security dongle into a USB port. Do this.

After a couple of minutes you will receive a message that the program is now ready to use. DO NOT attempt to use Digitizer Pro yet!

This step is very important! Unplug the security dongle from the computer. It must be completely removed.

Download the Vista-compatible dongle driver here.

http://www.janome.co.jp/e/e_downloads/software.html

Click the START button. In the right column, click your name to open your folders. Then find the Downloads folder and double click to open it.

Right click on the HASPdriver compressed file icon and choose the option to Extract All.

When the extract dialog opens, click the Browse button. Choose the Desktop and click the OK button. Finally, click the Extract button.

When extraction finishes, close all open windows. Find the folder HASPdriver on the desktop and double click it to open it.

Find the file setup in the folder. Double click it.

Choose the Run option from the box that opens. When the security warning appears, again choose the Run option. When yet another security dialog opens, choose Continue.

After a few seconds a dialog will open saying that the operation was successful. Click OK.

At this point you can plug in the security dongle. A pop up will indicate that new drivers are being installed. When this finishes you can begin using Digitizer Pro. You may wish to print these instructions and keep the downloaded file in case it ever becomes necessary to reinstall Digitizer Pro.

Hopefully this gets you going. Thanks for using FixYa.

My Janome 10000 stopped in

Janmore10000 Stopped Embroidering thenstopped everything just shutting off.
If it is getting no power at all, it is probably a fuse. Thefuse is located in a little black box underneath the base of the machine, butit is NOT an easy job to take the box out, disassemble it, replace the fuse, and then reassemble the whole machine. But in your comment you mentioned that there is power tothe machine that means its not fuse problem.

It stopped embroidering in the middle of a project. the handwheel would notmove at all this means that it wasthread jam. Also check the carriage carriage if it does not move to the rightor left and gor stuck in one position or hardly moving a bit then it is out of calibration.

if your machine is outof calibration it will need to recaliberate . Something is like forcing theneedle through a thread jam would cause this. This is not an expensive repair. But a time consuming repair. Its advisable to get it done by service center,

Need janome Jsmc860 driver for 64 bit windows

I also had the same problem with my mother-in laws MC 100001 & Vista. So far I have been unable to find a driver for Vista. We happened to have a laptop with XP, so we installed the software and the drivers worked fine (WIN 2000 driver for XP). At present this is the only work around that I have been able to find.

Remove the top cover (3 screws) and lubricate with good quality thin lubricant the top shaft running horizontally through the machine. This haft has 2 bushes and is a common source of seizing, especially at the handwheel end.
If this doesn't cure the problem have it serviced by a technician (there are numerous lube points inside the machine and these should be adressed every 12 - 24 months.

Problem with the tension when embrod.

lower your top tension down, as it is tighter then your bobbin thread and also tighten your bobbin thread, this is done by the small screw on the bobbin holder, also you can try using the older metal bobbins these are the ones with the small holes around the top and bottom shank, but please make sure that they are the larger size bobbin, and only go very slow at first, try just in sewing mode first or just wind it over by hand.

If you have the customiser software open the disk up to view the drivers the driver may work with the win 2000 if so it will look for JSMC and install it. If this does not work try right clicking on the customiser icon and see if you can run in compatibility mode, Otherwise you may have to use a SD card and only transfer to that.

Why

Windows 7 is not compatible to your Digitizer 10000.
You may need a software driver to configure it with
the new operating system. You should know that there are lots of things that work with Windows XP and won't work with Win 7. So try surfing the internet
at Microsoft to address your problem.
