Janome Memory Craft 5700 Questions & Answers
Memory craft 5700 needle vibrates when I turn machine on
The issue you're experiencing could be caused by a few different factors, including a bent needle, incorrect threading, or a malfunctioning bobbin case .
I would recommend checking the following:
Ensure that the needle is inserted correctly and is not bent or damaged.
Check that the machine is threaded correctly and that the thread is not tangled or caught anywhere.
Inspect the bobbin case to ensure that it is properly installed and functioning correctly.
If the issue persists, I would recommend contacting a Janome dealer or repair center for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose the issue and provide a solution .
Adjust thread and bobbin tension
These are the instructions in the manual:
Adjusting the Thread Tension
Balanced thread tension:
Small amount of the needle thread shows on the wrong side of the fabric.
When the needle thread tension is too tight:
The bobbin thread shows on the right side of the fabric. Reduce the tension by turning the tension dial to a lower number.
When the needle tension is too loose:
The needle thread forms loops and the stitches look shaggy.
Increase the tension by turning the dial to a higher number.
However, if you have recently changed the needle check that it is pushed right up in the slot. Other thing that springs to mind is making sure that the bobbin thread is correctly placed in the bobbin, and that the chamber is not full of lint and threads.
