I have a Janome Memry

Hello,

With the below recommendation you should be able to solve the problem of your craft

If your Janome Memory Craft 5700 is having a technical problem, resetting the machine can help in solving the problem . Resetting or recalibrating your machine is helpful if the screen goes blank or is no longer responding to selections.

Instructions

  1. Turn the machine off, and then press the start button, reverse button and auto lock button at the same time.
  2. Turn the machine back on while still pushing the three buttons. After the machine has powered on, release the buttons.
  3. Press the + sign at the bottom of the screen, continue pressing each + sign as it appears. The machine will display a "Test Complete" message, turn off your machine.
  4. Wait 5 to 10 seconds before powering your machine back on, your machine will run through a diagnostic test and repair any issues it finds.
Good luck and thanks for using fixya.

HOW DO I ATTACH PRESSER FOOT G TO MY MACHINE??

there are 2 type of presser bar foot clamps
one allows you to snap on the foot--raise & then lower the presser foot holder until the cut out is directly above the pin on the foot,,as you lower the presser foot holder the presser foot will automatically engage when put down on the pin area

the second is a shank & foot combined & there is a screw on the presser bar,,unscrew it some & put the shank up around the screw & retighten the screw

Janome 5700 I can't remember how to do a roll hem

Use foot D.
Cut 1/8" of the corner of the fabric at a 45 degree angle.
Fold the fabric over 2mm,
Feed the edge into the funnel of the foot and carefully feed the fabric into the foot as it sews.
Practice a few times with some long scraps to get the hang of how much to fold in and you will rapidly improve.

MY BOBBIN WINDER ON MY

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. To resolve the issue you'll need to check the following things and take remedial action as suggested against each point---

1.Please check that the upper thread has not run out. If so, replace empty spool and thread the machine.

2.Check that the presser foot is not up. If so, you'll need to lower the presser foot.

3.Also check that the bobbin winder shaft is not left in winding position. You'll need to move the bobbin winder shaft back to the left.

4.Please check that the buttonhole lever is not lowered at the time of placing machine in the buttonhole mode. It will be required to be lowered.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Hi I have a janome

Check the thread. If its not proper then.Replace the thread and try with another brand thread. Try this settings and see. Here's a list of things to watch for when you tread up the top thread.
If you use the Horizontal spool pin, use an embroidery spool net, it prevents the thread from unwinding too fast for the machine to handle.
Make sure the presser foot arm is raised, that opens the top thread tension plates.
Use your right hand to apply a little tension on the thread at the spool end, and your left hand to guide the cut end around the thread channel. Pay close attention to the take up hook, make certain the thread actually goes down the channel into the eye of the take up hook. This is the single main cause of thread tangles under the stitch plate in the bobbin area. You can open the side cover of the machine to check it is seated in the take up arm and not just lying on the top.
Place the thread behind the the thread guides so it feeds into the needle eye correctly.
Before you start stitching lower the presser arm.
-----------

Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation

Where does the spool of thread go on a Janome

look for a plastic thread holder about the size and shape of a match stick with a base. It goes on the top of the machine. You see where it is if you google images for your machine

if its like the mc 8000 look for a knob on the top, very near where the thread first goes into the machoine. My 9000 has a tension adjust on the touch screen, the symbol looks like a hour glass on its side, and you select manual
