If you mean spool, then it may be inserted wrongly or there may be broken threads stuck in the raceway causing it to jam. The thread should also be running clockwise in the bobbin

You need to take a drawing of the plug on the machine and go into any sewing machine shop to match it up
Tension issues with the bobbn area
No, I have not had a consistent problem with this.
What looks like a bobbin issue could be a threading issue.
If a sewing machine is threaded with the presser foot down, the tension control does not capture the thread as it should. The top thread then cannot form a proper stitch with the bobbin thread.
If I forget to have the presser foot up when I thread, then I get loose stitching on top and loopy stitches on the bottom.
Bobbin thread keeps breaking
Could well be that the bobbin tension is too tight, you should only just be able to pull the bottom thread through with slight resistence, if it is too tight slacken the screw on the bobbin case anti clockwise about a quarter of a turn at a time and test until you get it right,
Bobbin thread breaks after stitching
It depends on your machine. Some machine have a bobbin case that you take out a insert your bobbins. That has a screw to tighten or loosen the tension. If you have a drop in bobbin make sure you insert the bobbin the right way.
