Juki TL-98Q - Page 8 Questions & Answers
I have a Juki HZL-F Series and the thread keeps getting cought on the bobbin case when I sew and it makes a loud clanking noise i've replaced the needle and cleaned my machine also.
If the thread keeps getting caught on the bobbin case and making a loud clanking noise, it's possible that the bobbin case is not properly installed or is damaged. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:
- Check that the bobbin case is properly installed in the machine. The bobbin case should be securely snapped into place, and there should be no wobbling or movement when you gently tug on it.
- Inspect the bobbin case for damage. Look for any cracks, chips, or burrs that could be catching the thread. If you find any damage, replace the bobbin case.
- Check the tension on the bobbin case. The bobbin tension should be adjusted so that the thread pulls evenly and smoothly from the bobbin. If the tension is too loose, the thread can bunch up and get caught in the case.
- Make sure the thread is properly threaded through the machine. Check that the thread is not caught or looped around any of the machine's components.
- Try using a different type of thread. Some threads are more prone to breaking or getting caught in the machine than others.
If you've tried these steps and are still having trouble, it may be time to take your machine to a professional for servicing

My new Juki tl2000qi is sewing the begining of the top thread into the beginning bottom tlstitches. Does anyone know how to stop this from happenong or why it is?
- Needle: The needle may not be installed correctly, or it may be damaged. A bent or dull needle can cause thread tangling and result in the beginning of the top thread getting sewn into the bottom stitches.
- Threading: The threading could be incorrect, or the thread tension may be too tight or too loose. Check the threading and make sure it's correct, and adjust the tension as needed.
- Bobbin: The bobbin may not be inserted correctly, or the bobbin case may not be installed properly. Make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly and the bobbin case is properly installed.
- Needle Plate: The needle plate may be damaged or not properly aligned. Check the needle plate and make sure it's not damaged and that it's properly aligned.
- Upper threading tension: The tension in the upper threading may be too tight or too loose. Adjust the upper threading tension as needed.
Juki CP-130 E24 Error code
The E24 error code for the Juki CP-130 sewing machine usually indicates a problem with the thread take-up lever. Some common causes of this error include a thread take-up lever that is not properly installed or adjusted, a bent or damaged thread take-up lever, or a thread take-up lever that is blocked by lint or debris. To resolve the issue, check the thread take-up lever and clean it if necessary, and make sure that it is properly installed and adjusted. If the issue persists, you may need to have the sewing machine serviced by a professional.
Juki DDL 8700 Lockstitch Sewing Machine doesn't connect the foot pedal to the needle.
Hi,
Since you took the sewing machine apart, i believe that the reconstruction process was missing a step.
You might check that the belt was placed according to the steps in your product instruction manual. It might have been accidentally placed in reverse.
After that I would use those instructions to start double check that you put together your sewing machine properly after your move.
Thank you.
How to fix a frozen Juki serger MO-654de
I am guessing that you do hear the motor running... Not a Juki serger expert but...
Here are 3 things that you can check:
1. I have an ancient mammylok and a more modern semi-industrial singer and both have a housing on the side around the flywheel that can be unscrewed and removed so you can check the belt to see if it snapped, slipped or has just plain loosened. Inside my ancient serger, there are bolts that hold the wheel (which is connected to the flywheel by the belt) turned by the motor which can be loosened and pulled further out to adjust for a loosened belt.
2. On the base of every serger, there is a plate, if you turn it over, which will allow access to the internal mechanism of the machine for a more deep oiling and cleaning, so you can take a look to see how it looks in there.
3. My Bernina 830 Record (yes it is a sewing machine but hear me out), just stopped working one day, I thought it was the foot control, so ordered a new one. It arrived and still no motor...so off came the casing for the motor...I checked connections and made sure all were where they were supposed to be, put it back together and was dreading now having to order a motor, tried the motor again and it suddenly worked. I now have a spare foot control.
My Juki started leaking oil up by the bobbing and won't sew. Lots of oil. Fairly new machine as far as usage goes.
Have you moved your sewing machine lately? I don't know what model your machine is, but I would imagine that you have an oil pan under the machine. If you have too much oil in the pan (there are marks on the pan indicating how full you should fill it), it might do this.
If you have moved it lately and tilted the machine, you may have two problems:
1.If you tilted it towards the bobbin, you might have oil dripping from all those parts and you will need to tilt the machine back and dry all the parts with a soft cloth until the excess is gone.
2. If you tilted it to the right, you may have oil on the belt and it is spinning out on a greasy belt. While your machine is tilted backwards, your belt should be loose and you can dry it will a clean rag. Take a flashlight and look down around your motor where your belt is attached and make sure that the cover over the belt isn't full of oil and contributing to the problem. (Dry it out with your rag also).
Good Luck!
Needle position adjusting dial not working
The needle, on the other hand, does not move in either direction, and the dial emits an audible beep beep noise, as if I had moved it too far in either direction . Because of this behavior, it appears as though I have gone beyond the dial's maximum adjustment range.
