Tension trobleshooting
The proper tension for the 537 is between 4-6. You need to make sure that your presser foot is in the up position before threading.

Necchi Stitch Length
When you press the level the machine goes in reverse. When you turn the dail to O it goes in reverse. The dail is somehow out of alinement and that is what I am searching for the adjustment that would bring the machine to O and the adjustment that would lengthen the stitch forward. When I push teh level for reverse it does go in reverse. I guess the question would be if you would like to lengthen the stitch further than the dail currectly allows how do you do that. THanks!

Needle picks up bobbin thread but then thread gets stuck
I had exactly the same problem on the exact same model 3205FA. I'm not an expert, but have a little experience on solving my wife and daughter's sewing machine mechanical problems. I would suggest the following:
A. Page 6 of the owners manual see item # 1...to be precise it is 1 1/2 times around.
B. Page 7 at the bottom, Make sure the bobbin tension spring is set so that there is tension. When holding the tread the bobbin shouldn't unroll. If jiggled about 2-3 inches the bobbin should release about 1/3 of that distance.
C. Page 8 at the bottom, ill. # 2. There are two flange holders and screws that hold the bobbin case in position located at about 5 and 7 o'clock. Make sure both screws are tight. This is important.
D. Make sure the thread is treaded through the upper tension adjustment properly. See page 9 # Illustration C. Terrible illustration. Keep the dial generally in the green range.
E. Put in a new needle, the needles that come with the machine are just short of terrible. Wouldn't hurt to buy good top quality needles for the machine.

Necchi Q132A needle postioning dial doesn't work
If the needle positioning dial is not working on a new out-of-the-box Necchi Q132A sewing machine, it could be a manufacturing defect or a loose connection. Here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check the manual: Make sure you are following the correct steps to use the needle positioning dial. Refer to the manual and double-check if you are using the dial correctly.
- Check the connections: Open up the machine and check if all the cables are securely connected. If any of the wires are loose, reattach them carefully.
- Contact the manufacturer: If the above steps do not solve the issue, contact the manufacturer or the seller from whom you purchased the machine. Since the machine is new, it should be under warranty, and they should be able to provide you with the necessary support or even a replacement if needed.
- Take it to a repair shop: If the machine is out of warranty, or you prefer not to deal with the manufacturer, take the machine to a reputable sewing machine repair shop. They will have the expertise to diagnose and fix the issue.
Remember not to attempt any repairs yourself as it could void the warranty or cause further damage to the machine.
Can't get my needle to tighten in my necchi nc204d
It sounds like there may be an issue with the needle clamp on your Necchi NC204D sewing machine. The fact that the needle falls out when you try to tighten it suggests that the clamp may not be holding the needle securely.
Here are a few steps you can try to fix the problem:
- Check the needle clamp: Make sure that the needle clamp is tightened properly and that the screw is secure. Also, make sure that the needle is inserted all the way into the clamp.
- Check the needle: Make sure that you are using the correct type and size of needle for your machine. The needles that came with the machine should be the correct size, but it's good to double-check.
- Check the needle plate: Make sure that the needle plate is clean and free of any debris or burrs that could prevent the needle from seating properly.
- Check the needle alignment: Make sure that the needle is aligned properly and that the flat side of the needle is facing the back of the machine.
- If the problem persists, it's best to contact Necchi customer service or a professional sewing machine technician for further assistance.
It's important to note that working with a sewing machine can be dangerous, if you're not comfortable working with it, it's best to get it serviced by a professional.
