I am having problems with my bobbin. Every time I

Check the bobbin tension and that the thread is tight around the bobbin. Make sure that the bobbin is in the right way around - the bobbin thread should double back on itself coming out of the bobbin holder.

I can't figure out what is wrong with my machine.

That sounds like your drive belt is not working. Try taking the cover off the right hand side of the machine (two screws, one in the side, one on the bottom) and look inside to see if the drive band is on all the way or if its broken. It could also need to be tightened. There should be a screw that mounts the motor and will allow you to tighten or loosen the drive band.

Good luck!

There is a knob on the left side of machine, I

The knob on the left is the Pressure Foot pressure dial. Here is what the manual says about it: " This dial regulates how hard the presser foot is pushing down on the fabric. To little pressure may cause poor feeding of the fabric, skipped stitches, or difficulty in guiding the fabric as you sew. Too much pressure may result in one layer feeding ahead of another or feed teeth or presser foot marks on the fabric. For most fabrics set the dial at 2. For thicker fabric increase the dial to 3 and for thin fabric decrease to 1." The red dial on top, the far left one, is the tension dial. Just have to play around with that til you get it like you want. Hope this helps!

When I press the pedal I hear the machine running

Could your bobbin winder lever be stuck in the winding mode? Try freeing it up by moving it back and forth and see if that is the problem. Another thought is that there is lint under the throat plate and stopping them machine from running. Use a short stubby straight screwdriver and take it off, you may be surprised to see a lot of lint, resembling felt. Clean that out and lube your machine while you are at it. Hopefully this is the problem and you don't have to take it in for service. Good Luck, Happy New Year

Working wth cotton t-shirt maerial, but my thread

You need to use the correct type of needle for that fabric. The needle has to have a rounded end not a sharp. Also use a slight zigzag not a straight stitch. The thread needs some give or the fabric will keep popping.

PLEASE GIVE ME THE PRODUCT

Rebecca, I don't know if you ever received a solution, but after my experience with my White 2038, I would advise you to do exactly what you said. "Throw it out". I've struggled for a week with a new machine, found parts missing after opening the box and generally feel ripped off. I am throwing mine out! I purchased a Singer yesterday and it is sewing beautifully with no problems.

Good luck.

I was just wondering how to make a stretch stitch.

Look for the "Tricot" setting. It looks like a zig zag, made up of tiny stitches. Multiple stitches on each zig and zag. Pull the material to it's stretched position as you sew.
