The control panel will go thru some screens when you see the screen with the copiers on it on the left side of the screen in the middle you will see a small "." When the dot appears touch 3 button. Then the machine will continue to the code screen. Press the Utility button you should see a new button "Maintenance Mode" touch it then touch trouble reset. The machine will again go thru screens will see the"." again do nothing. Should go ready to Copy. If the code comes back do not reset, you are messing with the Fuser the Hot part. Continuing to reset without a technician looking at and or replacing it, the fuser can catch on fire and that would ruin a perfectly good day. I would suggest that a label came to be attached to the photorector drum. Unless you can remove this label the problem will continue

C0500 refers to a low fuser temperature. You can attempt to clear the code by using the tech rep service mode.
Go to "Counter"
Go to "Trouble"
Trouble reset
If "warm Restart Swich" is asked for- This can be actuated through a small access hole on the right side of the control panel, using a straightened paper clip or something similar.
You may need to clear the counter by pressing "clear" and then "end".
After clearing the code, power cycle the copier. If it comes to "ready" you are all set. If not, you may have a blown heat lamp or thermal fuse which would need to be replaced by a technician. Good Luck!!"

power down copier at op-panel.straightend end of paper clip into little hole by op-panel power button.hold in till little dot appears on screen in middle to the left.press #3.that should get you to trouble reset.Or sometimes opening and closing rightside door can reset.

There should be a small opening or hole on the right of the operation panel, use a paper clip to press the button inside. This will reset the machine. If the error code was a glitch or a false code the machine should operate. If the code comes back you will need to have a technician replace the fuser assembly

Someone has told the machine to either make a copy or print from a PC to the Bypass feed tray on the copier. If you are not trying to print something by using the bypass tray then just turn the machine off, then on again to clear the request from the copier. If you are trying to print or copy from the bypass tray then simply insert the correct paper size and direction into the bypass tray slot and the machine should automatically begin printing.

I wouldn't recommend replacing the drum and blade. This model uses a consumable Imaging Unit 201A, which should be replaced each 67,000 copies

It is a fan error.The fan is not easy to replace...... The fan is located under the black transport belts. The fan is part of the unit that brings the paper from the transfer & drum to the fuser unit. The unit is black and it looks like tank tracks. From what I remember the fan is acturely in the transport unit ... Good Luck.

0040 - suction fun motor malfunction problem.Use the vacuum cleaner and clean the ventilators. OR Replace the fan at the top of the machine. the one that is at the top, near the optical section.

if it;s not the bottle home position it may be you toner happer motor...clean it and try to take the bottle our and close the door and than put bottle back in
