First ensure fax line and and network cable is disconnected (If no FAX or network dont worry) dont want any print jobs or faxs arriving before you run Developer and drum checks after replaceing both.. Second go to the service mode and clear the drum and developer counters touch end then power off the using main power switch left hand side rear. Your finisher elevation motor is failing or the sensors that monitor what and where the output trays are doing on their way up and or down.
