Possible damage to the processor within the unit which is normally delicate to voltage swings on the tlephone line and could have failed. Remove the line and check on line voltage , reset in another location before this can be confirmed.

Not 100% sure on that particular model but for most when you set up the answering machine you set up a password. When you call from another phone you wait for the machine to pick up, press # then the password you chose

lightly twist the phone to see if it may have dirty contacts, i had one that the speaker was bad and i found a new used speaker on ebay I replaced it and it worked fine.. but the no dial is what leads me to believe that the twisting might help diagnose the problem , you might want to look for a replacement phone .. jay

Normally the ring and the start time can be set up on the answering machine as you will need to check for the lowest ring time- 3 times which is good enough. This is possible on the most models and must be checked on this one -- the model is not specified.

What this indicate means that your phone have been over power.

What you need to do to solve the phone problem is to carefully put off the the phone for some time allow it to relax it self for above five minute then put it on again.

NOTE DO NOT OPERATE THE PHONE IN ANY FORM ON TILL IT LOAD UP TO IT FINAL CAPACITY.

Then you start to operate your phone again and it will resond to your command.

Hello there, usually answering machines are such that after use for a considerable period of time they start to malfunction. If after you have increased the unit volume to the highest possible and yet the answering machine volume remains at a whisper then there are 2 possible lines of action. The first being to replace the units battery probably as a result of continuous use the battery has gotten low and therefore is not capable of producing loud volumes.
Second possible cause can be described as what occurs as a result of the speakers getting weak and therefore the capability for production reducing to a minimum such that it begins to sound like a whisper. In this case the cost and trouble of replacing the speaker amounts to the idea of the unit just dying as the speaker might be impossible to get and if you do get it the asking price might just be outrageous. Simply try replacing the battery if this does not work out then the unit is dying as you earlier mentioned.
