DRYER SPINS BUT DOESN'T GET
Purchase a Fluke 10 or some other easy to use multimeter which will not blow its own fuse if you use it wrong and learn how to use it. Electricity can not be seen with the naked eye. A multimeter provides a numeric rendering.

The problem is the pressure switch has failed or the hose is plugged up, has a hole in it. These are usually inexpensive and are very easy to replace. Here is a video this will walk you thru testing and replacing a pressure switch. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. All parts come with installation instructions. Not all models are available. There is also a link there that will show you how to remove the front panel to acess the hose on the pressure switch.
Dryer runs but does not got hot, therefore does
The Most common problem is a bad thermal fuse.
1 the thermal fuses are located in the cabinet of the dryer under the drum
they can also be located on the front of the blower wheel housing. on the back wall of the dryer or along the heating element can.
2. some kenmore, whirlpool machines have these fuses located in the rear of the machine.especially when the lint filter is located in the top of the dryer.
3. the heating element can also be bad.
4. if you have an ohm meter you can check the continuity of the thermal fuses,as well as the heating element.if there is no continuity on any of the above mentioned parts. Replace the faulty parts.

Sounds like your lid switch need to be replaced.
If the lid switch is defective, the washing machine may not agitate or function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it. Here is the part you need.

Dryer stopped heating
Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.
if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....
If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.
check out this electric no heat tip...

Washer wont drain....
try the lid switch with a screwdriver in the slot to see if it activates. Mine did the same thing, would agitate but not empty nor spin and it was the lid switch assembly--a 35.00 part that cost 150.00 to repair with a repairman!
A GE stacked Washer/Dryer unit
hi there,
The
exhaust vent also collects lint. Vent maintenance involves cleaning the
lint from a screen in the dryer's vent exhaust collar and/or at the end
of the exhaust vent where it sticks out through a basement window or
through an exterior wall. To clean the screen, remove the clamp that
holds the vent to the collar, or back out the screws that hold the vent
to the collar, or pull the vent straight off an extended collar. Clean
the screen thoroughly and replace it in the vent assembly.
To
clean the vent itself, use a vent-cleaning brush (available at hardware
stores) to pull out any lint deposits. Also check the vent run to make
sure that the vent piping or tubing isn't loose at the joints, or -- in
the case of flexible plastic venting -- isn't sagging between hanging
brackets. Breaks or sags cause undue strain on the dryer's blower
system, and can cause drying problems. If the vent pipe or tubing has
become clogged with lint, remove the lint by pushing a garden hose or a
drain-and-trap auger through the vent to a convenient joint.
Disassemble the joint to remove the debris. With this procedure, it
isn't necessary to disassemble the entire vent to find the blockage.
Grease-like Stains on Clothing
Archit, the problem is located underneath the agitator. If you can imagine the plastic agitator not being there, you'd see a metal shaft sticking up through the bottom of the tub. This shaft comes out of the transmission and pokes through a couple of bearings and seals. These bearings are permanently (supposedly) sealed. When they fail, the lubrication (grease) inside them will show up on your laundry.
After a while the black smudges will disappear altogether! This is not good. This means there is no more lube in the bearing and it will begin to wear at an extremely fast rate. It will rust through, it will leak and it will start "howling" loudly when the unit is in "spin".
If the unit is less than 5 years old it will be a warranty issue through GE. The drive train has a 5 year warranty. Call 1-800-GE-CARES for their customer service line (have model and serial number ready)
You haven't lost your mind, this is not uncommon.
Washer will not rinse
SOUNDS LIKE THE INLET VALVE IS CLOGGED OR INOP. THIS CAN BE A NIGHTMARE TO REPLACE, BUT DON'T TRY TO CLEAN IT, JUST REPLACE IT. TRY FILLING FOR WASH WITH COLD ONLY TO CONFIRM. IF NO WATER FLOWS, REPLACE INLET VALVE.
