Dryer has power, control board lights up and beeps when touched, but dryer won't start

I would check the door switch. if switch is good, then control board might not be recognizing switch as being closed. Check for proper voltage at the plug. any volts under 208 is bad.

Clean Lint Filter Light/Possible Heat Problem?

Take the front panel off the bottom and check the big hoses that connect to the drum. From what you are saying, the fan is working but not drawing air through the drum. That is why the light is on because it is not sensing air flow through the connections to the drum.

The drum barrel is squeaking loudly....how do I

For a quick inspection, the back is easier to remove to gain sight of the potential problem. Make sure the power is off. You will probably find the drum rubbing somewhere and have to release the weight of the drum to check bearings.

I have a gas dryer

Check the "thermistor" that is on the blower housing for continuity with a multimeter. It should read 2.27k. If you get any other reading, replace it with this part.

Dryer will not dry

Hi,

If your
dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have not taken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then you need to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should take place. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causes for your dryer to fail.

Dryer Maintenance
