Your instruction manual will tell you how to do that. If you need one, you can go to Hitachi's website and download one.

The cooling fan can be lubricated by peeling off the round label. If the motor shaft can be seen, use a drop of sewing machine oil on the shaft. If you can't see the shaft, there is a rubber plug covering it. Use something sharp to remove it then put a drop of oil on it. This is not a permanent fix, so order a new fan and replace it when you get it.
