bulb has probably gone.

first check the wire is properly fit
if yes then change the setting of projector

You need the correct lead.
You need a vga lead to an rgb lead.
have a look at pins and connector types on computer and projector.
maybe somewhere like radio shack will sell correct lead.

No, what happens is the electrolyte dries out and cap begins to overheat.

Mine too. I think these things are JUNK!!!

the generator has peaks and vallys. the projector needs a more stable power source. also, the grounding is rough.

i had the same problem. took out the buld re-inserted it and turned 'projector back on as i was tighting in the screws... picture popped right out.

we changed out the light buld... now it works fine.. funny thing was projector was brand new just out of box... you could see first thing there was a brown spot in the center of the buld creating the spot apparently after it heated up.... thanks again

inside, be sure to unplug it ,before the take down.
