There is water in the dishwasher that comes to the

Unfortunately the only way to get the water out is to use a sponge, towels and a bucket to soak up the water and get the dishwasher emptied and able to look for the problem.

It could be that the drain port is blocked by plastic wrap or some other item, like a tupperware lid, etc. Sometimes broken glass gets down into the drain sump and causes the dishwasher to not pump out. It could be a faulty valve also, but with more info about your unit, I can try to assist you with possible issues and solutions.

You can check my other responses for dishwashers that didn't drain out, as that might help you once you get the water drained and are ready to solve the problem.

Fills arbitrarily not holding any water after a

Check your drain hose to where it connects under the sink. If it is connected to the garbage disposer, and not looped upwards before it runs back to the dishwasher, it may just be drain water from the sink running back to the dishwasher. Even if it hooks up to a "t" spout under the sink, and the drains run a little slow, water can still run back to the dishwasher. The ideal set up is to have it connect to the drainage, run up behind the bowls of the sink, and then back to the dishwasher.
If this is not the answer, then you may have a defective fill valve that is allowing water to seep into the machine (very unusual in dishwashers). Also note that water valves require 23 psi of pressure to seat closed and if the incoming pressure is less than that, even a new valve may have the same issue.
Good luck and let me know how you make out, and if you have any other questions.

The soap tray is not opening at the correct time.

The dispenser timing is controlled by the main control. If it is being signalled to open at the wrong time you will need to replace the main control. First I would make sure it consitently opens at the same time. The correct timing should be located on the tech sheet. The tech sheet is somewhere on your dishwasher , behind the control, toe kick, taped to the side. If you need help disassembling check out this link it will walk you thru replacing the control http://appliancehelponline.com/dishwashercontrol.html If the timing is off consitently replace the control if it is eratic the dispenser is the problem there are videos of dispensers at that site also.

Only some cups on top rack are getting cleaned

It sounds as if you have some rollers missing on the bottom rack which lets the rack sit on the sprayer therefore not letting it spin. You should have 4 rollers on front and 2 on back of rack. If you are missing two on one side, take one from the other side until you can get some more. Just make sure you have a roller on all four sides of the rack

It will not drin about 2 inches of water after

Do you have a disposal and is it working? If yes, then the only other things i can think it would be is the impeller is stripped or the vane that opens to drain is stripped. You could also check the amps/and voltage to the motor to make sure it is running as it should.

Top rack rail contently comming off the rollers.

Typically the roller wheels and the post tabs that hold them onto the sliding rack/guides will wear over time and depending on how heavily your family loads the racks, the sooner you'll need to replace them.

You can order new ones and do the job yourself which is the best solution for the situation you're describing. The only other thing to check is for the rack section that is attached to the inside dishwasher walls to make sure those screws are snug (don't overtighten and strip them out!) other than that, you still will need to replace the rollers on the extendable portion of the rack supports, etc. Hope that helps.

CAN NOT REMOVE THE END

The end caps on the upper rack of my GE dishwasher do not pull off, they "rotate" off by turning the top of the cap toward the center of the dishwasher. In order to make this rotation, you need to slip a small screwdriver in the track to the inside of the nipple at the top of the back of the end cap and force the nipple toward the middle of the dishwasher.

Soap left in cups when cycle is over

If the problem is that the dishwasher isn't filling with enough water, you should replace the water valve.

If it's getting enough water, but dishes have a white film on them or are still not getting clean, you may have hard water build up in your machine. Try to run a dishwasher cleaner thru it, or depending on how much buildup you have, you may need to take the dishwasher apart and clean it. I know JetDry puts a cleaner out, but I haven't personally tried it yet.

You can usually see white buildup inside the dishwasher if this is your problem.

I have a GE dishwasher model GLD4908T10BB and the light is on for rinse only but does not turn on and will not let me change the settings?

Try a power disconnect from the mains for 5 minutes and then plug it back in. It that doesn't fix it, the problem will be the main control board. Many parts are obsolete. https://www.google.com/search?q=GLD4908T10BB ..

Ge dishwasher lower rack doesn't get clean

I have spent all my career in the catering and food industry with dishwashers of all shapes and sizes. The usual reason for this can be two fold.First make sure that the bottom spray arm spins freely. For various reasons they can stick and that means the spray only hits one place. If you spin it, it should spin at least 2 revolutions. Even if it does....Remove the bottom spray arm. The thing that makes it spin is the angled jets in either end. They will often block with debris, and the worst is lemon pips and cocktail sticks, even fluff. No one knows how fluff gets in there, but it does. At my last job at a VERY busy airport lounge putting literally hundreds of baskets through a day, the two filters had to be de-fluffed every day. The problem at home is that the fluff solidifies between uses. So look at those end two jets, poke with something and put water in from the jet end rinsing to the big hole in the centre. Put the plug in the sink so you can see what comes out. The turn the arm over and force a good jet of water into the big centre hole and it should show as a good jet at the ends. Then put the arm back and make sure it spins.Your machine has a strange item called a 4 port diverter valve. This part concerns me a bit as it appears that it may be supposed to move or at least has to be in the correct orientation. Some items like this have a rubber flap that really does divert the flow. Once gain, some type of debris can ruin its function. It looks easy enough to remove.504 - Diagram Number FOUR PORT DIVERTER AND PLUG ASSEMBLY WD19X26398https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/assembly/PDT715SYN3FSAnother trick is to whip the door open mid wash if it doesn't have a safety lock and see what the arm is doing and if it is spraying well.I hope this is more use than our friend Umar Waheed!
