GE Externa Tritan XL (7 yrs old): Standing dirty water
Hello, there isnt much that you can do, there could be a number of problems. It could be a slight blockage somewhere from your drainage hoses to your pump. It could also not be spinning properly. If you want to drain the rest of the water out you will need to get your drainage hose and lay it flat on the floor to a drain, this will stop things getting smelly. You just may have to get a repair man in, I hope this helps.

Diswasher circuit connect problem
Sounds like you might have done something wrong or disturbed the control panel to the wiring......I don't think that there's any other answer.

I have a ge profile
I'm having the same problem with my GE PDW7800's touchpad. the buttons to the right of the Start button are dying. I'm now having to play a dance between with the "button lock" mode and Time Delay to get it started. Unfortunately, the capacitive touch panels are delicate and have a limited lifespan. You're looking at replacing the touchpad, or buying a new dishwasher
I'll be replacing mine eventually, but the lowest price I've seen is currently $230, so this is a fairly expensive repair. (That is why I've not replaced it yet. I can play the button dance game a little longer, but eventually it will cease to function at all.)

Where is the pump located in this dishwasher?
You can't access it from the cleaning chamber. It is on the bottom of the unit, so you'll have to remove the unit and disconnect the utilities (most likely) to access the bottom.

Pdw7800 won't drain
Is this washer new or has it been heavily used? Is the bottom of the washer covered with old food pieces or does it look clean? When it;'s supposed to drain do you here the faint sound of a motor/pump working or is it silent?

PDW7800 lower spray arm making clunking sound
1. The spray arm has an aluminum piece on the bottom side of the spray arm. It kinda separates away from the plastic arm and as the spray arm turns, it hits the inner door liner. You can see the scrape marks it makes on the door liner. You can bend the aluminum edge upwards with needle nose pliers or try to make it tight to the plastic spray arm by pushing on he tabs.
2. If you have removed the spray arm make sure the thin silver washer is still inside the hole were the spray arm inserts use a flashlight and look inside that section. If missing, it can also make a noise.

GE Profile Dishwasher leaking from the bottom
If your dishwasher is Leaking check the followingDishwasher Not LeveledThis is a very common reason for a leaking dishwasher especially if this was a new installation. The framing in a dishwasher is made up of mostly thin sheet metal, so if it is not sitting flat and level things can get distorted very easily. Door SealThis is not very common in most dishwashers. To check this look for rips and distortion of the seal. If it is ripped or distorted you will need to replace. Dispenser SealThis is a more common place for a leak to develop. This is easy to check, remove the front panel and carefully inspect around the seal for water dripping or stainage. If any is found replace the dispensergasket. Water Inlet ValveUsually it is the connection to the water inlet valve that ends up leaking. Check this connection ( there is usually some sort of adaptor between the valve and supply hose) for leaks. Check the connection on the back of the water inlet valve also. Ocassionaly a water inlet valve will leak around the solenoid in this case reokace inlet valveDrain / Circulating PumpSome dishwashers have separate drain and circulating pump. Some use one pump to serve both purposes. In either case you will need to check the housings for leaks along with all the connections. Some dishwashers have a seal that leaks down into the pump . This is easy and inexpensive to replace. Door LatchThe door latch can become loose or misalinged. Check both the striker and the latch. To adjust the latch you will need to remove the front panel and adjust switch until properly aligned. Door HingesThey can cause problems, but this usually only happens from opening a heavy load of dishes on the door. Occassionaly a broken spring or cable occurs. You will need to remove the toe kick and maybe the front panel to inspect.Use the VOM. God bless you
